Bebo Members Get Mobile Access Via Intercasting Corp.

  • February 14, 2008
Social networking site Bebo will let its 40 million members produce and share content on their cell phones through a partnership with networking technology provider Intercasting Corp.

The company's Anthem platform adapts social networking sites for mobile phones. For Bebo, it promises to make it easier for users to do things like send and receive messages, view photos and search profiles.

U.K.-based Bebo, which has recently been rumored to be an acquisition target of MySpace or Google, has existing content agreements with carriers including T-Mobile, Orange and O2. Intercasting works with operators such as Virgin Mobile USA, Boost Mobile and Sprint as well as entertainment companies such as MTV.
