CBS did a good job of promoting Grammy.com, the official Web site of The Grammys, during the award show, and on the day after, the site also ranked well (within the top 5 organic listings) for terms
like "2008 grammy nominations" and "2008 grammy performances."
Mahalo, the social search engine, actually managed to rank higher than the official Grammy Web site when it came to
performance-related searches. The property aggregated many clips of the performances, a likely boost in terms of blended or Universal search.
Meanwhile, InStyle.com was one of the
only sites that leveraged paid search to capture post-Grammy interest, particularly for terms related to nominations and winners. In fact, they were the only site that showed up in sponsored links for
the term "2008 Grammy awards"--a buy that likely should also have come from CBS.
