NYTimes.com today announced the 2002 Ad Innovation Awards, a contest for professional and non-professional designers to create breakthrough Surround Sessions campaigns. The winner in the professional
category will be awarded $50,000 and its client will receive $25,000 of free advertising on NYTimes.com. All entries must be received by July 26, 2002 and the winners will be announced in mid-August.
Official rules including creative guidelines and entry forms are available at www.adinnovationawards.com. Surround Sessions were introduced on NYTimes.com in November 2001 as a new online advertising
model that allows a single advertiser to control every major ad position and maintain total share of voice with a user across a number of pages.
