Capital One Offers Online Savings Rate

The McLean, Va.-based company is offering a 3.85% interest rate on balances of $10,000 and a 3% rate on balances under that sum.

While accounts are exclusively opened online, customers can access them and receive customer service assistance both online and by telephone.

In addition, online users get free online transfers.

Capital One has 742 locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas and Louisiana.
