Ford Reshuffles Top Executives

The Dearborn, Mich. automaker is streamlining its officer-level organizational structure.

Stephen Odell will be COO/Ford of Europe. Odell, 53, will report to John Fleming, president/CEO, Ford of Europe, and assume responsibility for Ford of Europe's product development, manufacturing, purchasing, and marketing, sales and service operations. Odell, who joined Ford in 1980, has held executive posts at Ford of Europe, Mazda and Jaguar.

Ingvar Sviggum, 62, will replace Odell as VP/marketing, sales and service, Ford of Europe. Both appointments are effective April 1.

They are: Tony Brown, 52, previously SVP/global purchasing; Sue Cischke, 54, previously SVP/sustainability, environment and safety engineering; Bennie Fowler, 51, previously VP/quality; David Leitch, 47, previously SVP/general counsel; and Nick Smither, 49, previously VP/CIO.
