CBS Mobile Partners With Aggregate Knowledge

  • March 27, 2008
CBS Mobile and Aggregate Knowledge have partnered to develop a new feature on the CBS News mobile site that recommends content based on what's being clicked on and read by users with similar interests.

For example, someone who read about "super delegates" might be led to a story about the upcoming Democratic primaries because others who read about super delegates went on to read about the primaries. Visitors will initially see article suggestions in a "Your Headlines" box.

The new feature relies on Aggregate Knowledge's Amazon-style recommendation engine, which is used by online retailers and publishers to help build traffic and sales. CBS Mobile said the new feature was a first step toward expanding its use of behavioral targeting to provide more relevant ads, services and applications to customers.
