Yahoo said Wednesday it plans to acquire the assets of Tensa Kft., a Hungarian company better known as IndexTools, which makes Web analytics software for online marketing. The acquisition is aimed at
enhancing Yahoo Web analytics capability by extending metrics for online campaigns across its entire network.
The first to benefit from the new IndexTools software will be the
150,000 small and medium-sized businesses already using Yahoo's marketing analytics tools. Yahoo plans to extend the new analytics tools to third-party developers to monitor and improve the
performance of their applications on Yahoo during the remainder of 2008.
In addition to its Budapest headquarters, IndexTools also has offices in Frankfurt, Germany and New York.
