Former iVillage Chairman and CEO Doug McCormick has been named chairman of the board of Waterfront Media, which operates the online health company Everyday Health.

McCormick, a partner at Waterfront investor Rho Ventures, assumes his new role from Bo Peabody, co-founder and managing general partner of Village Ventures. Peabody will remain on the board.

Prior to his tenure at iVillage, McCormick was president and CEO of Lifetime Television Networks. Besides Waterfront, he serves as chairman of LIN TV, vice chairman of ReelzChannel, and is a board member at Ovation Television, Wayport Inc. and Travel Ad Network.
