Passenger, a technology company that makes products for customer collaboration, has raised $8 million in third-round venture capital funding led by StarVest Partners and including Shelter Capital
Partners and Steamboat Ventures. The latest round brings Palo Alto, Calif.-based Passenger's total funding to $20.5 million.
Companies including ABC Studios, American Express,
Chrysler and Coca-Cola have used Passenger's software-as-a-service platform to launch social media campaigns.
During the last year, Passenger says it has increased revenues tenfold while
expanding its workforce to 55. With offices in Palo Alto, Calif., Los Angeles and New York City, the company will use the funding in part to pursue international expansion plans.
