NBC edged CBS and Fox to win the primetime week ended Sunday in total households and adults 18-49, according to Nielsen Media Research data released Tuesday afternoon.
In total households, NBC
(5.5/10, 5.8 million) came in first place, just ahead of CBS (5.4/10, 5.7 million) and well ahead of ABC (3.9/7, 4.1 million), Fox (3.8/7, 4 million), UPN (1.9/4, 2 million), The WB (1.7/3, 1.7
million) and Pax (0.6/1, 630,000). Of the top 10 shows in total households, NBC and CBS tied for five each. Beyond the obligatory Friends, the remainder of NBC's four shows were from the Law & Order
franchise. CBS also had its two CSIs and Everybody Loves Raymond, along with sitcom King of Queens and drama Without a Trace. All of the top 10 programs in the 40th week of the season were repeats.
In adults 18-49, NBC (2.8, 3.6 million) also led the way, ahead of Fox (2.4/8, 3.1 million), CBS (2.7, 2.6 million) and ABC (2/7, 2.5 million). UPN (1.2/4, 1.5 million), The WB (1.3/1.2
million) and Pax (0.2/1, 280,000) followed. Among adults 25-54, NBC (3.3/10, 4 million) again ruled, followed by CBS (2.6/8, 3.2 million), Fox (2.3/7, 2.8 million) and ABC (2.3/7, 2.8 million).
