WPP on Monday announced that Torrence Boone has been named CEO of Project Da Vinci, the new global agency being built exclusively for client Dell Inc.
Boone previously served as
president of Digitas Boston.
As Project Da Vinci's first chief executive, Boone is overseeing a full-time staff of roughly 1,000 employees. Boone will be based in the agency's New York
headquarters, and report to WPP head Sir Martin Sorrell.
Project Da Vinci consolidates Dell's worldwide marketing services, previously handled by more than 800 firms.
Prior to joining
Digitas in 2001, Boone was vice president/general manager for interactive agency Avenue A, where he was in charge of strategy, account management, media, and creative services for the New York
operation.
