The Jewish Channel, a subscription-based cable network, is hooking up with
The Forward, a Jewish weekly newspaper, to produce three new programs that will air in New York City, the country's
largest Jewish market. It will be available to 15,000 subscribers on Channel 291 of Cablevision's iO Digital Cable.
The first new program, Forward Forum, will feature a panel of reporters
from the newspaper discussing front-page stories, offering commentary and analysis on world events, elections and current issues, as well as Jewish writers and celebrities.
TJC Movie Talk will
feature reviews, analysis and stories relating to new and classic Jewish films shown on The Jewish Channel, led by Alana Newhouse, the Forward's Art and Culture Editor. "Inside the Issues"
features Forward's editorial director, J.J. Goldberg, giving insight into various issues affecting Jews in the U.S. and around the world, including health care, the economy, education and the
