As in the U.S., AOL is consolidating its ad businesses in Europe under the Platform-A heading.
The move will integrate the European operations of Advertising.com, ad-serving company
ADTECH, contextual search provider Quigo, behavioral targeting service Tacoda and mobile ad-serving company Third Screen Media.
Alignment of the ad units in Europe will make it possible to have
one insertion order and a single point of contact for advertisers, said Lynda Clarizio, president of Platform-A, in a statement.
Brendan Condon has been named to lead Platform-A's London-based
international operations, reporting to Clarizio. Previously, he headed Advertising.com's international business.
Dana Dunne remains the head of AOL Europe, overseeing AOL's owned-and-operated
sites in Europe, including the AOL portals, music, video and entertainment offerings.
AOL says Platform-A reaches 125 million online consumers--more than half of Europe's Internet
audience.
