Google accounted for just over 68% of all U.S. search traffic in May, according to Hitwise, and for roughly 87% of all searches in the U.K. The giant made year-over-year gains in both
regions.
Yahoo's share of U.S. search traffic was at 20%, relatively flat year-over-year, while in the U.K., the Web giant's search traffic was down to 4% (from nearly 9% in May
2007).
Microsoft's search traffic was down year-over-year, both in the U.S. and U.K, while traffic to Ask was up slightly in the U.S. and down in the U.K.
