Irvine, CA-based Castrol is running a media deal with seven automotive titles under the Source Interlink Media (SIM) banner. The deal involves a six-month Web campaign via Source's auto customizing
and hot-rod touting high-performance power of Castrol's synthetic motor oil to automotive enthusiasts.
The campaign, "The Castrol Syntec Top Shop Challenge" pits seven custom car
and after-market automotive shops against each other to create the highest-horsepower engine from scratch. Each shop participating in the contest was chosen by the editorial teams of the SIM
titles, like Lowrider, Eurotuner, Import Tuner and Super Street.
Consumers who go to SyntecTopShopChallenge.com can vote for their favorite engine and enter the official
sweepstakes to win the top engine. --Karl Greenberg
