Jane Barratt has been named general manager of the New York office of Sapient Interactive, the marketing services arm of Cambridge, Mass.-based consulting and marketing firm Sapient.

Before joining Sapient, Barratt was a consultant to WPP and had also served as managing director of the New York branch of digital agency Euro RSCG 4D.

In her new post, she will lead business development, operations and account management for the New York office. Sapient clients include BP, Essent Energie, Hilton International, Janus, Sony Electronics and Verizon.
