Blockbuster Appoints New CMO

Dallas-based video rental chain Blockbuster Inc. has appointed Rebeca Johnson CMO. In her new role, she will have responsibility for the Company's overall branding and marketing efforts.

Johnson was most recently Chief Marketing and Global Branding Officer for casual-dining restaurant company Brinker International. Prior to that, she spent 16 years at PepsiCo/Frito-Lay/KFC, where she handled brand strategy and positioning for Doritos and Cheetos brands. She began her career at Ogilvy and Mather Advertising. --Karl Greenberg
