Last.fm Secures Exclusive Rights To New Album From Def Nam's Nas

CBS Interactive's Last.fm has secured exclusive rights to carry the new Def Jam album from hip hop artist Nas. In advance of its official release on July 14, Last.fm visitors can listen to the album in its entirety free of change.

This album exclusive is the latest in a series of free-on-demand premieres on Last.fm which has included Radiohead, Sigur Ros and Portishead. Last.fm said it plans to offer more album exclusives in the future.

Last.fm offers music fans millions of tracks for free-on-demand and radio streaming through partnerships with Universal, EMI, Sony BMG, CD Baby, independent aggregators The Orchard and IODA, and more than 150,000 independent artists and labels.--Gavin O'Malley
