McClatchy Co. says its Classified Ventures, its online initiative, is reported down 13% from December. CV is owned with Belo, Gannett, Tribune and The Washington Post Co. The company runs Cars.com and
Apartments.com. Newspaper publishers had hoped to make up lost print revenues online. McClatchy also took a slight write-down on its stake in CareerBuilder.com.
