Performics, Optimedia Execs Join VivaKi Nerve Center

With the Publicis Groupe acquisition of Performics officially closed, VivaKi announced that Nick Beil, CEO of Performics, has been named managing director of the VivaKi Nerve Center across North America, in addition to retaining his current Performics title.

Beil previously served as VP of sales and account management for Performics, responsible for the direction and management of all sales, account management and business development operations. Prior to Performics, Beil was VP of business development at Vivendi Universal Net, USA.

Fred Joseph, CEO of ZED Digital (ZenithOptimedia's Digital Practice), has added the role of managing director/VivaKi Nerve Center Europe, including oversight of the company's marketing assets Phonevalley, ibase, Click2Sales and Webformance. Joseph will also continue to run ZED. Joseph joined ZenithMedia France in 1997, then moved to Saatchi & Saatchi London before returning to Zenith in 2000 to launch the agency's first interactive division, Zenith Interactive Solutions. In 2002 he became general manager of ZenithOptimedia Interactive. He assumed his current role in 2005.

Sean Kegelman, formerly VP/strategic planning at Digitas, will become SVP/digital media partner development for VivaKi in North America, serving as a primarily liaison between the Nerve Center, the VivaKi brands and key technology and media partners across the globe. Prior to joining the Nerve Center, Kegelman spent nearly 10 years at Digitas in various capacities from marketing to account planning across clients such as American Express, AT&T, Pfizer and General Motors. Before joining Digitas, he was a marketing consultant to early-stage technology companies such as PlanetAll and Exchange.com (both acquired by Amazon), About.com, iVillage, and Tripod, among others, advising them on consumer engagement strategies and business development.--Tanya Irwin
