AdReady announced today the launch of adPointer – an ad format that appears on a site when the cursor is still. By appearing where the cursor is positioned, the adPointer drives consumers to affiliate
sites, increasing click-through rates and strengthening marketing strategies and branding across all media, according to adReady. This new approach uncovers new territory for advertisers and
publishers to promote their products, services and content by utilizing new "virtual" advertising space on a website. In turn, adPointer allows publishers to increase their ad inventory and revenue.
Separately, adReady also announced agreements with DoubleClick and Ad-Venture, under which adReady will use DART to manage its advertising inventory, serve targeted campaigns and report on campaign
performance and Ad-Venture will be reselling the adPointer to publishers in their network of over 2,000 websites.
