Microsoft rolled out some of the changes to the Windows Live Web services Tuesday it announced in November.
The new home page supports email, and similar to a social networking site,
displays what friends and family are doing across the Web under "What's new in your network."
Among the changes, users can customize the page to display the local weather, calendar, and news
headlines. A search box and links to other Live services are listed at the top. They include Profile, People, Mail, Photos, and more. New services are Groups, Photos, and Profile. Groups allow users
to create collaborative pages. Silverlight supports a Windows Live Photos feature that changes the background color to match the dominant hue in each photo.--Laurie Sullivan
