Nike is rolling out the Nike Zoom Kobe IV, its lightest basketball shoe ever. The shoe, developed with basketball legend Kobe Bryant, weighs just 11.6 ounces, even less than the Hyperdunk, which
weighs in at 13 ounces.
Like the Hyperdunk, the low-cut shoe uses Nike's Flywire--thin and very strong nylon fibers to support the foot--in the upper, as well as LunarLite foam in
the forefoot, which it claims is its most innovative cushioning system since Nike Air.
The shoe will begin selling in China on Jan. 1, and throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe in
February.--Sarah Mahoney
