There is disagreement in the Screen Actors Guild over a strike authorization vote. More than 130 Hollywood stars--including George Clooney, Tom Hanks and Sally Field--oppose a vote, reports Reuters.
They sent a letter of opposition to SAG president Alan Rosenberg, who is trying to garner support from rank-and-file members. Rosenberg says a "yes" vote doesn't automatically signal a strike; it
could be used as leverage in future talks. A smaller group of stars--including Holly Hunter, Martin Sheen and Mel Gibson--support a strike vote, notes the wire service.
