Congratulations to SCOTT and JOHN FERBER, founders of Advertising.com, Inc., for having been named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young LLP!

Scott Ferber, CEO and Co-Founder, started his career in manufacturing with Procter & Gamble, and then moved into information-based marketing for CapitalOne. He designed an Information Based Strategy for Advertising.com, Inc. from its earliest conceptions to the funding and hiring of over 200 employees within a 12-month period.

John Ferber, Chief Internet Officer and Co-Founder began the team that developed and marketed the first Internet multi- player video game. He moved into the ad-serving and ROI tracking and measurement arena with the development of Click- Tracker, Web visitor and sales tracking software. Currently, he is in charge of all technologies and their development, and new product development.

GIL SCHWARTZ has been named Executive Vice President, Communications, CBS Television. Schwartz is responsible for public relations, media relations and corporate and internal communications for all of CBS Television's media businesses and operations. Schwartz was Senior VP, Communications, CBS Corporation, prior to the Company's merger with Viacom Inc. He joined CBS after 14 years with Westinghouse Broadcasting before its merger with CBS.

JIM PERRY, a nine-year-veteran of MTV Networks, has been appointed Vice President, Sales and Business Development for Nickelodeon. He will work closely with internal research, marketing, promotions, licensing groups and existing sales teams. Perry joined MTV Networks as a Sales Planner in the Advertising Sales Department.

Cable television Company USA Networks Inc. announced that President & Chief Operating Officer, BARRY BAKER, has resigned to pursue other interests. Before joining USA Networks in January 1999, Baker was Chief Executive Officer designate of TV station owner Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc.

The Arbitron Company has announced the promotion of BRAD BEDFORD to VP of Asian Marketing. Bedford, 19-year veteran of Arbitron, will market its services to Asian countries, focusing on Japan, and continue to manage the West Coast division of radio station services.

The T&O Group, advertising, interactive and public relations agency announced the addition of SHARON PARDEE and JULIE TAYLOR ADAMS to its Media Services Group. Pardee has signed on as Associate Media Director, and Adams as Media Supervisor. Pardee, previous Media Manager for Taco Bell, will plan media exposure for Sempra Energy, Uniglobe Travel and Tosco Marketing.
