  • STUART BLOOMBERG, resigned as co-chairman of ABC Entertainment Television Group. The departure of the 22-year ABC veteran leaves LLOYD BRAUN, who was co-chairman with Bloomberg, as sole chairman of the group, which encompasses the network's prime-time division and its production studio, Touchstone Television. SUSAN LYNE, the founding editor-in-chief of Premiere magazine, was promoted from ABC executive vice president of movies and mini-series to the post of president of ABC Entertainment.

  • PAUL MARAVIGLIA has been promoted to International Advertising Director of BusinessWeek based in London. Maraviglia previously held the position of Managing Director Europe. In BusinessWeek News in the states, MARK FLINN will become Vice President, Northeast Regional Sales Director for BusinessWeek effective immediately. Flinn will also continue to maintain his responsibility as Vice President, Advertising Sales Director for BusinessWeek's new broadcast initiative, BusinessWeek TV.

  • ERICH G. LINKER, JR. has been named Senior Vice President of National Sales at Newspapers First. Linker brings over 20 years of experience with the New York Times, where he held senior positions in sales, marketing and advertising.

  • PAMELA GODFREY has been promoted from Team Manager to Vice President/New York Sales Manager with Katz Marketing Dimensions in New York. Also at Katz, JOHN GARBO has been promoted from Account Executive to Senior Account Executive.

  • SHONA SEIFERT will be named president-CEO of Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day, New York. She has been managing director-client services at WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather.

  • PATRICIA O’CONNOR has been named Vice President/Manager with Katz Network Dimensions in New York. She had been Sales Manager for Network Dimensions’ New York office.

  • SABRINA SANCHEZ has been promoted to director of program marketing (Latin programming specialist) at CABLEready, the international program development and distribution company. She joined CABLEready as program sales associate just over a year ago.

  • CHIP RODGERS has been named Director, Solutions & Channels Marketing for SAP America. He comes from startup IT FACTORY, based in Boston, where he was Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for the company.

  • ELIZABETH SHEPPARD joined Girl Scouts of the USA as Senior Director, Marketing and Communications. Sheppard was previously Senior Vice President of Marketing at Hallmark Entertainment.

  • CHARLES DENATALE, formerly Media Director at KPC/Christopher Thomas in Meliville, New York, has become President/CEO/Partner of 4 Star Media and Marketing in Florida, a Direct Response Media Buying Service.

  • Lippincott & Margulies announced the appointment of partner RANDALL STONE to the firm’s retail design practice in New York and the promotion of ERIC GRANOF to partner in Los Angeles. Stone was most recently senior environmental design director at Interbrand in New York, while Granof had been with the company since 1999.

  • Avnet, Inc. announced the June 30, 2002 planned retirement of BRIAN HILTON, president of Avnet's largest global operating group, Avnet Electronics Marketing. 20-year Avnet veteran, ANDREW BRYANT, who is currently the president of Avnet Computer Marketing, has been selected to become his successor. In turn, 18-year Avnet veteran RICHARD HAMADA has been promoted to president of Avnet Computer Marketing, effective immediately.

  • Online advertising company DoubleClick Inc. added two new executives, promoting DAVID ROSENBLATT, the president of the company's largest divisions, to company president, and naming MOK CHOE to the new executive-level position of chief information officer. Choe had been the co-CIO of online brokerage Ameritrade. The company also named its acting chief financial officer, BRUCE DALZIEL, as company CFO. Dalziel was named acting CFO in August, when Stephen Collins stepped down.

  • JEFFREY A. PULLEN has been named president of Commission Junction, responsible for overall management of the company, and elected to the company's board of directors.

  • Primedia Enterprises, the licensing arm of Primedia Inc., announced that SEAN HOLZMAN has been promoted to Vice President and that KAREN CAHILL has been promoted to Vice President of Retail and Product Development. Holzman was previously the company's Senior Director of Licensing Sales, while Cahill was previously the Senior Director of Retail and Product Development.
