  • KEVIN GENTZEL has been appointed Group Advertising Director West of Forbes Magazine Group. Gentzel joined Forbes in May 1999 as an Ad Sales Representative, and in November 2000 he was promoted to New York Regional Director.

  • LISA BENNETT is leaving Leo Burnett USA. Bennett, executive vice president and creative director, has led creative for several Burnett clients, most recently Heinz, the U.S. Postal Service and Delta Air Lines.

  • PIC-TV, a company specializing in promotional television advertising spots, announced the hiring of two account executives, MARC R. GOODMAN and EUGENIA KOUDANIS. Prior to joining PIC-TV, Goodman served as Senior Vice President, Sales at Pearson Television, while Koudanis was an Account Executive at United Television Sales.

  • GEORGE LANZARO, former Vice President of Sales at LastMinuteTravel.com, was recently named Vice President of Sales Distribution at RCI Holiday Network.

  • ELLEN ABRAMOWITZ has been appointed publisher of Seventeen magazine, and will oversee all aspects of advertising sales and marketing. Abramowitz was most recently the publisher of Teen magazine.

  • RICH PERSON, a member of Poindexter Systems’ board of directors, will soon be officially joining the management team as interim CEO.

  • PHIL DUSENBERRY will be retiring after 40 years in the industry, at the end of May. BBDO chairman will turn over full responsibility for BBDO's worldwide creative product to current vice chairman, chief creative officer of North America and New York, TED SANN.

  • CHRIS STREULI has been named advertising sales manager for USA TODAY. Prior to joining USA TODAY, Streuli was senior account executive at Adeszko Media Sales where he represented several publications including Maximum Golf, Talk, and Worth.

  • JEANNIEY MULLEN joins MindArrow as Vice President of Strategic Marketing and National Accounts. Prior to coming to MindArrow Mullen was the Vice President and General Manager for the global commercial email division at Grey Direct. Also at MindArrow, CHRIS PLUNKETT joins as Vice President of Business Development and General Manager of the Northeast Region. He had been Vice President of Business Development at Bigfoot Interactive.

  • JOHN C. BOHAN has resigned from his positions of President and Chief Executive Officer of L90, and is no longer a member of its board of directors. In addition, the company has removed THOMAS A. SEBASTIAN from his position as Chief Financial Officer and has placed him on administrative leave. L90 has named MITCHELL CANNOLD as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, and he will also serve on the company's board of directors. Most recently, Cannold served as Chief Operating Officer of Space.com, a multimedia company dedicated to space and space related content. STEVEN KANTOR has joined the L90 as its Vice President of Finance. He has held senior financial management positions at Dr. Koop, United Internet Technologies, Inc. and Meghan Matthews, Inc. Lastly, L90 has engaged PETER SEALEY, a long-standing member of the board of directors, as a consultant to advise L90's management.

  • Media agency veteran MIKE DREXLER will join Optimedia USA on April 1 as Chief Executive Officer. Drexler, currently Executive Vice President of the New York office of Mediasmith Inc., replaces GENE DEWITT, who will leave Optimedia at the end of March.
