  • STEVEN M. BORNSTEIN, president of Walt Disney's ABC Television unit, has resigned unexpectedly after less than a year on the job on Tuesday. "There are other interests I wish to pursue and now is an appropriate time to do this," he said in a statement. Walt Disney Co., which owns ABC, said it will not replace Bornstein and may reorganize the business unit that also includes 10 broadcast stations and the cable networks ESPN and ABC Family.

  • ALAN COHEN has resigned his post as Twentieth Century Fox's President of Domestic Marketing. “During my brief tenure at Fox, I've determined that, given the department's structure, I could not make the kind of contribution I had envisioned when I joined the studio,” he said in a statement. Cohen joined Fox in January from ABC-TV, where he was Executive Vice President of Marketing, Advertising and Promotion.

  • JOE McDONAGH has left Ogilvy & Mather. He had been Co-President and Executive Creative Director.

  • MARLA GOLDSTEIN, a former NBC television network executive, has been appointed Vice President, Group Media Director at MediaVest, an independent media services company.

  • MediaPost is pleased to welcome JOHN GAFFNEY to its team as Editor, Media Magazine, Traditional Edition. Gaffney formerly held the post of Editor at Revolution Magazine and most recently worked as a contributor to Business 2.0.

  • MICHAEL LAUR has assumed the post of Vice President of Western Sales for ValueClick Media. Laur spearheaded ValueClick's International Operations in Europe and Asia.

  • JOHN WAHLERT has been promoted from Vice President, General Manager, to Vice President, Regional Sales Manager for Millennium Sales & Marketing. Also at Millennium, HAKIMU JACKSON has been promoted from Senior Account Executive to Sales Manager, and NANCY McDONALD has been appointed to the position of Sales Manager. McDonald joins Millennium from Petry Media, where she has worked as an Account Executive since 1989.

  • LISA NATALE has been promoted from Vice President, Marketing Director for Playboy Publishing (and online trade marketing) to Senior Division Vice President Marketing Director for Playboy Publishing.

  • DEBORAH HELLER LEITER has been promoted to Campaign Director at The Advertising Council. Leiter joined the Ad Council in June of 2000 as Campaign Manager.

  • BOB McCAULEY has been chosen for the position of Adlink's new President. Prior to Adlink, McCauley served as Vice President/General Sales Manager at both KCOP-TV and KTTV-TV in Los Angeles.

  • PAT MUCCIGROSSO has been appointed to the newly created position of Project Manager Officer at NetPlus Marketing. Her previous experience includes Aramark, Sintaks Unlimited, Spree.com and FreedomPay Inc.

  • JOHN MARRIOTT has been named General Manager of PRIMEDIA's Liberty Productions group. He most recently held the title of Vice President of Operations for PRIMEDIA's Consumer Magazine and Media Group after serving as the group's Director of Internet Operations.

  • RICHARD DENNESS has joined IVAX Corporation to fill the newly created position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He has more than 13 years of domestic and international sales and marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry, mostly with Schering-Plough Corporation.

  • PAUL BENJOU has been named Director of Client Services at AdWare Systems. Benjou has moved through the ranks of major agencies such as McCaffrey&McCall, Grey Advertising, Young and Rubicam, Ketchum MacLeod & Grove, FCB/Leber Katz Partners, and Draft Worldwide.

  • FRANK NICHOLS has been named Executive Marketing Director at Media Art. Prior to joining MAG, Nichols headed his own consulting company in Los Angeles, providing marketing and media strategy development and execution to media, entertainment, and Internet companies.

  • TED CRADDOCK has joined Automobile Magazine as the Western Regional Advertising Manager, based in Torrance CA. He was recently an Advertising Sales Director at Ask Jeeves in Los Angeles.

  • MIKE MURACO has been hired by KTVK TV 3 in Phoenix as an Account Executive. Muraco previously held the position of Sales Manager for CableWest, which reps Qwest Choice TV and CableAmerica in Phoenix.

  • JAY CRAVEN, a respected member of the radio industry and a Katz employee for almost 15 years, died Monday after a battle with cancer. He was 40 years old.
