  • DraftWorldwide New York has hired THOMAS E. WHITE as senior vice president, account director. He will work on the Bank of America account. Most recently, White served as chief operating officer for Third Age, Inc, an online media, research and direct marketing company.

  • TOM ROGERS stepped down as chairman/CEO of Primedia. CHARLES MCCURDY, previously president of Primedia, has been named interim CEO, and DEAN NELSON, CEO of Capstone Consulting, has been tapped as interim chairman. The company's board will conduct a search to replace Rogers on a more permanent basis.

  • Mullen announced the appointment of PAUL PEREIRA as the new director of data analytics, interactive media. Pereira’s focus will be web analytics, customer analytics, online easement analysis, and the building, productizing and implementation of customer relationship marketing (CRM) programs. Previously, Pereira has worked for companies including Philips Semiconductors, Talbots, BOSE and at Digitas on such brands as AT&T, General Motors, Kodak and Delta Airlines.

  • Investor’s Business Daily has appointed TERRI CHIODO to the position of VP/national advertising director for the daily newspaper. She previously held the position of VP/Western Region Ad Director. Chiodo will now oversee IBD’s national and international advertising staffs, and direct the development of internal corporate campaigns, training and special sales programs.

  • Lifetime Entertainment Services has named TRICIA MELTON as vice president, marketing. Melton will oversee consumer marketing, ad sales marketing, affiliate marketing and synergy marketing for Lifetime Television, Lifetime Movie Network and Lifetime Real Women. Melton joins Lifetime from Oxygen Media, where she had been vice president, marketing, since 1999, in charge of consumer and affiliate marketing.

  • The TV Guide Network Group has made some promotions within the company. BILL ROSOLIE has been promoted to senior vice president, director of sales. In his new role, Rosolie is responsible for managing sales and ad marketing teams for all TV Guide Networks including the TV Guide Channel and TV Guide Interactive. ROBERT BEL BRUNO was promoted to vice president, national sales manager and will assume responsibility for national sales and product interface for the Channel, working closely with the operations group based in Tulsa, Okla. CHRISTINE GEORGAKAKIS has been named vice president, direct response and will lead the direct response team as well as establish a revenue base for TV Guide Interactive. Lastly, DEBBIE INNES was promoted to New York sales manager and will be responsible for the New York sales team on both the TV Guide Channel and TV Guide Interactive.

  • REBECCA LYNN MEYER has been named vice president, sales manager with Continental Television Sales in Chicago. Meyer began her career with Katz in 1990 as a sales assistant for Continental Television Sales’ Olympic Team in Chicago. Meyer was named vice president, sales manager in 1996. In late 2000, she left the company to join stations WAOW/WYOW- TV Wausau as Local Sales Manager, her most recent position.

  • Men's Journal publisher KEVIN MARTINEZ has left after one year and will be succeeded by CARLOS LA MADRID, publisher of DNR. Prior to DNR, La Madrid worked as associate publisher for Conde Nast's Allure and Hearst Magazines' Town & Country.

  • LYNNE SIMON has accepted a position with Comcast in San Francisco as the general sales manager. Simon will oversee all agency placed business nationally and locally. She previously served as VP sales/western region at TechTV and was general sales manager for Granite Broadcasting and Viacom.

  • LEE ODDEN was recently named vice president and partner at Misukanis & Odden. Lee was formerly with HomeTown Marketing as VP design/development for six years where he developed an Internet marketing and web design practice. Lee also spent 7 years working with Fingerhut and NordicTrack.

  • The Zipatoni Co. announced that KAREN SAUDER and SCOTT BLANTON have been named partners at the agency. Sauder is account director for Miller Brewing Company. In this position, she leads a client team of more than 50 people in St. Louis and Milwaukee. Before joining Zipatoni in 1998, Sauder worked for Frito-Lay as Regional Sales Manager. Blanton joined Zipatoni five years ago as part of a new team to secure new business and grow existing client relationships. Today, Blanton serves as senior creative director. In addition to his account responsibilities, Blanton manages the overall direction, identity, and voice of the agency, works on the new business team, and works closely with the agency’s intern program and college relationship efforts. Prior to joining Zipatoni, Blanton worked for DDB Needham (Tracey-Locke) in Dallas, where he was creative director.

  • Caballero TV & Cable Sales, Inc. has appointed GEORGE ORTIZ as vice president of sales. Ortiz will be responsible for expanding the company’s presence in the Hispanic market and advertising industry, achieving new business development goals, developing new sales strategies and initiatives and providing client development and client services. Prior to joining the company, Ortiz was associate media director at Y&R/ The Bravo Group in New York.

  • American Urban Radio Networks (AURN) has appointed ANDY ANDERSON as senior director, partnership marketing. Anderson joins AURN from Billboard Magazine, where he was the first African-American advertising director, in charge of Urban and Canadian advertising. In his new role, Anderson will focus on creating and developing new marketing campaigns that will enhance AURN’s own promotional events and media services, and also develop new promotional partnerships.

  • Entrepreneur Media Inc. has named DAVID MA southwest advertising director. Ma replaces BRIAN KENNEDY who has transferred to Entrepreneur's New York office to become eastern advertising director. Before joining Entrepreneur Media, Ma worked at Hearst Magazines as the Los Angeles advertising manager for Popular Mechanics. At Entrepreneur, Ma will be responsible for selling advertising programs in Southern California, Arizona and Hawaii, for both Entrepreneur magazine and Entrepreneur.com.

  • PROMAX&BDA has announced the cable nominees for the new PROMAX&BDA Board, representing a full spectrum of today's top electronic media promotion and marketing talent. Nominees include E! Networks' senior vice president of marketing & brand director GAVIN HARVEY; (left) executive vice president and general manager of TV Land and Nick At Nite, LARRY JONES; Lifetime Television's senior vice president and executive creative director GARY LOGUE; BRIGITTE MCCRAY (right), senior vice president of programming & scheduling for Oxygen Media; and STEPHEN ARNOLD, composer and Founder of Stephen Arnold Music. Installations of the new board members takes place June 4-6 at The Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, Calif.

  • Astea International Inc. announced the appointment of MARIKIT KLEIN-SMITH to vice president of Marketing. Klein-Smith will lead the company's strategic marketing programs, including branding initiatives, product marketing and marketing communications. Most recently, She worked as a strategic marketing consultant for Full Circle Communications where she developed messaging, positioning and marketing strategies for clients in the high-tech sector. Earlier in her career, she served as director of corporate communications at SAP America where she developed and managed corporate internal and external communications programs for the U.S. and Canada.

  • Bonus.com has named KATHLEEN DALY director of advertising sales, East Coast. Most recently, Daly was a strategic alliance manager at Classmates.com and prior to that, she was at NetZero as a senior account director.
