  • Castells & Asociados Advertising has named MARIELISE NASCIMENTO as Associate Media Director. She will manage the development of the media plans for all of the McDonald's markets and co-ops that Castells & Asociados serves, as well as supervise the buy schedules and promotional extensions. Nascimento will also play a critical role in new business development and cultivating strategic partner relations.

  • Playboy Enterprises has replaced Playboy magazine publisher JAMES DIMONEKAS with associate publisher DIANE SILBERSTEIN. Silberstein was previously publisher of Yahoo! Internet Life, The New Yorker and Elle.

  • ERIC SILVER, formerly creative director at Cliff Freeman and Partners, has joined Saatchi & Saatchi as executive vice president, creative group head.

  • JILL KELLY has joined MediaVest as vice president, director of marketing communications. Prior to joining MediaVest, Kelly was vice president, global marketing manager for Universal McCann, directing all aspects of the company's communications efforts.

  • MPG has named COLEEN KUEHN senior vice president, catalyst strategist and GUY FORESTIER-WALKER has been appointed senior vice president, business development. In her new position, Kuehn leads the Catalyst teams in building clients' businesses and maximizing their return on advertising and media investments by providing actionable insights and analyses. Coleen joins MPG from MediaCom, where she held several positions. In his role, Forestier-Walker will be responsible for all business development functions, including guiding new business pitches and cultivating and creating new client relationships.

  • BBDO New York announced that CHERYL VAN OOYEN will join the agency as Senior Vice President, Senior Creative Director on Visa, a new position. In this role, Van Ooyen will be responsible for the day-to-day creative development for the Visa brand. Van Ooyen joins BBDO from Deutsch New York, where she was Senior Vice President and Group Creative Director.

  • Arbitron has announced the appointment of RICK RESING as Manager of Northeastern Accounts for cable clients. Resing will work with cable networks, cable systems and other cable entities throughout the New England and the Mid-Atlantic states. Also at Arbitron, RICHARD TUNKEL has been named manager of National Radio Sales. Tunkel will work with broadcast groups with a primary focus on Arbitron’s Hispanic Broadcast customers.

  • GARY M. SMITH has joined Zentropy Partners as Senior Vice President and Group Creative Director. In this new post, Smith will lead the creative and design groups of the Zentropy Los Angeles office, the global headquarters office for the company. Smith comes from TBWA/Chiat/Day, Los Angeles, where he was the Interactive Creative Director for nearly two years. There he created work for Nissan, Infiniti, Indian Motor Cycle and Adidas. Prior to that, Smith was the Creative Director at Magnet Interactive in Los Angeles, working on Quiksilver, Nissan, and Infiniti.

  • FANNY KRIVOY has joined Renegade Marketing Group as Online Creative Director. She comes to Renegade from the New York office of Organic. Krivoy spent five years at Organic, where she led the design team on the Armani Exchange, Reebok, Tommy Hilfiger, Tribeca Film Festival, Save the Children, PriceWaterhouseCoopers Consulting and Zagat.com accounts.

  • Eyeblaster has opened a Chicago office. The new office will be led by BRENDA COAN, who will serve as Manager of Business Development for the Midwest Region. In this role, Coan will be responsible for overseeing Eyeblaster's Midwest-based clients such as Starcom IP, FCB and OMD in Chicago, Zentropy Partners in Minneapolis and Ford Motor Media in Detroit, as well as garnering new clients.

  • Meredith Corp. has tapped consumer-magazine veteran JOHN BOLAND to lead advertising sales at MORE. Boland, who joins the women’s lifestyle title as national sales director, previously served as publisher of Expedia Travels and Backpacker, and as associate publisher of Men’s Journal.

  • JOE APPRENDI recently joined Falk eSolutions as President, Falk North America to spearhead Falk's expansion into the United States. Apprendi was formerly Executive Vice President of Eyeblaster, Inc. where he led global sales and marketing the past two years and currently serves on the Board of Directors. Prior to Eyeblaster, Apprendi was Senior Vice President, North American Sales for 24/7 Media.

  • KSL Media announced that HANK COHEN has been named president and founder KAL LIEBOWITZ has become chairman of the board. As chairman, Liebowitz will devote more time helping clients correlate business performance to media spending.

  • Caballero TV & Cable Sales announced the appointment of LEILA WINICK as Senior Vice President of Sales, Western Region. In her new position, Winick will be responsible for expanding the company's presence in the West Coast, and developing and implementing a strategy to maximize revenue for Caballero TV & Cable Sales' client stations, including MásMúsica® TeVe Network. In addition, she will be managing Caballero TV & Cable Sales' Los Angeles office. Prior to joining Caballero TV & Cable Sales, Winick was president of her own multicultural marketing and advertising consulting firm, Oro Communications.

  • BARBARA BELLINI has joined Explore International, National Geographic Television & Film's international distribution company, as executive director. Bellini will spearhead expansion of its international sales, co-production and co-financing activities.

  • Ripple Effects Interactive announced the hiring of DAVID GONG, formerly of Magnet Communications, as a business development executive. In his role, Gong will be key in helping the company build its expertise in serving clients, as well as the local Pittsburgh market.

  • Planet Central, a full-service advertising agency, has appointed RICHARD ULLMAN to the position of managing director in its New York office. Ullman joins Planet Central from Moelo & Company. He was previously a senior vice president and director of marketing for Renegade Marketing Group in New York.
