  • ROBIN STEINBERG has joined MediaVest as vice president, director of print services to lead and grow the newly formed print services unit based in New York. Steinberg is charged with developing strategically based, tailored print media programs for MediaVest clients. This print dedicated unit, expected to be fully operational by June, will be servicing both existing and prospective MediaVest clients. Most recently, Steinberg was VP, director of Pfizer print services of Carat USA.

  • The Audit Bureau of Circulations' board of directors has voted unanimously to elect ROBERT TROUTBECK, president of Troutbeck Chernoff in Toronto, Ontario, to succeed retiring chairman MICHAEL BROWNER. Troutbeck will serve the remainder of Browner's one-year term and become eligible for re-election at the November 2004 board meeting.

  • Forbes.com announced today that TODD BENEDICT has joined the company as regional sales manager in the New York office, responsible for accounts in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Benedict joins Forbes.com from TheStreet.com where he was most recently regional director, advertising sales. Previously he was account manager at the WSJ.com.

  • ALICIA ZIEGLER (left) has joined Draft Chicago as senior vice president, group account director, while MARGOT BOGUE (right) has joined as vice president, strategic director. Ziegler helps oversee the recently added MilkPEP account as well as Kellogg’s. Bogue will help clients - like MilkPEP and Kellogg’s - identify trends that affect consumer-purchasing habits. Her primary focus will be on retail and promotions strategy.

  • Also at Draft,JONATHAN SACKETT has joined the Chicago office in the newly created post of vice president, director of digital strategy. Sackett is working with MICHAEL DAVIS, vice president and director of emerging media at Draft Chicago, to integrate interactive and emerging media into the marketing mix of Draft's clients. Sackett joins Draft from the Townsend Agency where, as vice president, director of interactive services, he founded the agency's interactive division.

  • At Deutsch New York, SOPHIA SOUSSAN has joined the agency as senior vice president, customer and data strategy; and KWONG SAI has joined as vice president, customer and data strategy. In addition, STEPHEN MURPHY has been elevated from vice president, customer and data strategy to senior vice president, customer and data strategy. Soussan was most recently vice president, customer acquisition and retention at Register.com; Kwong had most recently been director of consumer insights at Avenue A; and Murphy joined Deutsch in 2003 and had previously been director of database marketing at Modem Media where he was responsible for tracking and analyzing online programs for clients such as Delta Air Lines and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

  • Interep announced that GAILYA SILHAN has joined the company as vice president/director of marketing for the Interep Innovations advertising solutions group. Silhan joins Interep from Clear Channel in Los Angeles, where she was account manager.

  • ILONA NEMETH has been named general manager for DoubleClick’s rich media ad-serving business. Prior to this role, she held positions managing the global accounts sales team and spearheading DoubleClick's financial communications. Before joining DoubleClick she worked in business development for AlliedSignal (now Honeywell), where she was responsible for strategic planning and acquisitions in high-growth Electronic Materials businesses.

  • SIRIUS Satellite Radio has named TOLA MURPHY- BARAN as senior vice president, marketing. Murphy-Baran will be responsible for subscriber acquisition and retention, direct and online marketing and all sports marketing and promotion. Murphy-Baran most recently held the position of senior vice president of market development at the National Football League.

  • GREGG H. LIEBMAN has joined Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.) as vice president of CNN ad sales research. In his new role, Liebman is charged with leading staff research analyses and strategy support for the CNN News Group ad sales function, which includes CNN/U.S., CNN Headline News, CNNfn, CNN.com and other CNN-branded news networks and services.

  • DAVID J. MOORE, chairman and CEO of 24/7 Real Media, has joined the Board of Aptas, Inc., an applications company serving publishers and directories in the local search market. In 1995 he co-founded Petry Interactive, which by 1998 became 24/7 Media.

  • Trafficmac has named R. MICHAEL LEO as its CEO. Leo was the co-founder of Avenue A, a digital marketing company. He was also an executive vice president at Hotbar.com, a provider of targeted Internet advertising via an active user interface. Prior to that, he was president of L90's technology group.

  • DAVID NAPIOR has joined Mediamark Research Inc. as senior vice president of research. Prior to joining MRI, Napior worked for 18 years in various senior technical positions at Roper Starch Worldwide and Roper/ASW (now part of NOPWorld), including technical director, chief research officer and chief information officer.

  • Entone Technologies, a global provider of on-demand technology solutions, announced the appointment of IAN JEFFERSON as vice president of sales. Prior to joining Entone, Jefferson held senior sales positions at NYNEX, DIVA, and Terayon.

  • TIM KOORBUSCH has been appointed New York sales manager at Sunset, magazine. Koorbusch joins Sunset from Fortune, where he was an account executive as well as New York sales manager for Fortune Small Business. In his new position, Koorbusch will oversee all aspects of the New York sales force.

  • Bennett Kuhn Varner, Inc. named TRACY DODD as account executive and AARON HITE as interactive media assistant. Dodd brings eight years of international marketing, direct response and advertising experience. She was most recently the marketing communications manager for Seagull Software Systems, where she was responsible for the worldwide advertising, direct marketing and promotion efforts. Hite was most recently employed as a marketing assistant for MBT International.

  • City Business Journals Network (CBJN) has appointed LINDA J. HOOPER to its New York sales office as national sales manager. Hooper will handle tech and law firm advertising sales for the 67 local and regional business publications that comprise CBJN's parent company, American City Business Journals. Most recently, she worked for CMP Media as account director - Northeast for the company's Network Computing, Network Magazine, and Intelligent Enterprise magazines.

  • KELLIE WATT has been named marketing services manager at DJG Marketing. Watt joins DJG from Conde Nast, where she served as marketing manager on Vogue magazine. Prior to working at Conde Nast, Watt worked at Hachette/Filipacchi, where she was initially research manager in the Hachette Corporate Group and then marketing manager at Elle.

  • STACEY SMITH, of Charter Homes, has been promoted to director of marketing. Smith has been with the company for six years and spearheads all of its marketing and media efforts. Prior to joining Charter Homes, Smith was director of member services for the York Builder's Association.

  • Global creative agency ATTIK has hired RACHEL NEWELL to serve as new business manager, a newly created position. Prior to joining ATTIK, Newell served as business development manager for McDougall Creative, Inc., where she streamlined the sales process and helped establish a number of key accounts.
