  • MARK GOLDSTEIN, chief marketing officer of Fallon Worldwide, is moving from Minneapolis to New York City to assume the same role and help grow Lowe & Partners Worldwide. He will also sit on the board of directors of both organizations.

  • MARK P. MAYS who has served as Clear Channel's president and COO since 1993, has been named as interim CEO of the company.

  • THOMAS ROCCO was named executive vice president, sales and marketing at TNS Media Intelligence/CMR, from president of College Television Network. Rocco will be responsible for all sales and marketing efforts for the TNS Media Intelligence/CMR brand. He will also lead the activities of TNS Media Intelligence/CMR’s client service group.

  • Captivate Network, the national news and entertainment network, announced the promotion of PAUL JANKAUSKAS to senior vice president of advertising sales. Jankauskas will create strategy and oversee the execution of Captivate’s North American advertising sales plans. Jankauskas joined the company in July 2003, and will continue to support Captivate’s advertising growth initiatives under the Gannett Company, which acquired Captivate in April. Prior to joining Captivate, Jankauskas was the vice president/general manager of Metro Networks/Shadow Broadcasting, where he was responsible for complete P&L of sales and broadcast operations.

  • ROB WILK has joined Avenue A as search engine marketing director. Wilk joins Avenue A/NYC to spearhead the interactive agency’s search efforts on behalf of its client base, including Victoria’s Secret, Chase, and Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Most recently, he spent the past two years at Overture Services, a Yahoo! Company, managing the Mid-Atlantic territory.

  • The Chicago office of Cramer-Krasselt has tapped TRICIA RUSSO as senior vice president, director of brand planning. She will lead the office’s brand planning department and oversee planning for C-K’s existing clients and new business efforts. Russo entered the Chicago market as SVP/planning director at lbworks. Prior to that, she was senior partner, planning director at Ogilvy and Mather in New York City.

  • The Weather Channel announced that NANCY APATOV has joined the company as vice president of Ad Products and Integrated Content, TWC Media Solutions. In her new role, Apatov is responsible for overseeing cable and ad products for The Weather Channel cable network and for the online, wireless, and broadband services provided by The Weather Channel Interactive. Most recently, Apatov served as SVP, director of media for J. Walter Thompson Technology.

  • Poindexter Systems announced that Interpublic Group of Cos veteran DEBRA S. MASON has joined the company as chief financial officer. In this role, Mason’s duties will encompass all internal financial functions, as well as contract negotiations for Poindexter. Most recently, she was EVP and CFO of Interpublic’s NFO WorldGroup.

  • JACK POOR has joined the Television Bureau of Advertising as vice president of marketing. Poor comes to TVB from Petry Media Corp., where he was executive vice president.

  • RDW Group has named MARLA PINTO as media director. Pinto will be responsible for all online and offline media planning and buying for the agency. Prior to joining the agency, Pinto spent seven years, most recently as group media director, with Arnold Worldwide in San Francisco and its predecessor, Ingalls Moranville.

  • TACODA Systems, Inc., a provider of behavioral targeting and audience management, announced that former Time Warner Inc. executive, CURTIS G. VIEBRANZ has joined the company in the newly-created position of president & chief operating officer. Viebranz joins TACODA from OLE Communications, a diversified Latin American media company.

  • PHD USA has named MIKE O’MALLEY president of PHD, Detroit. O’Malley was most recently president of J. Walter Thompson’s Detroit and Houston offices. In his new role, O’Malley will be responsible for all the services of the PHD Detroit office.

  • Dynamic Logic has named KEN MALLON as VP product development. Mallon's main focus will be developing Dynamic Logic's emerging MarketNorms business and product line. He was most recently director of research and analytic products at Yahoo!

  • Fastclick.com, Inc. has appointed BARRY ANDERSON as executive vice president of human resources and general counsel. Anderson previously held executive positions at VeriSign and QAD. In addition, the company announced that JONATHAN SLAVIN, director of media sales, has relocated to New York and will be joining KYM GIBBONS, media sales director, in handling Fastclick's East Coast territories. Previously, Slavin served as a director of media sales for the west coast from Fastclick's corporate headquarters in Santa Barbara, CA.

  • boede+partners has promoted JILL KROGH from controller to CFO and partner at the agency. Krogh replaces ARTHUR WATSON, who is retiring.

  • Cossette Post has named SUSAN MANBER as executive planning director. Most recently, Manber was partner and director of strategic planning for Gardner Nelson & Partners.

  • Time Warner has appointed JOHN PARTILLA, a former senior executive at WPP Group's Young & Rubicam Inc., New York, and founder and CEO of Y&R's Brand Buzz agency, as president of its Global Marketing Solutions group. Partilla succeeds MICHAEL J. KELLY, who moved in January 2004 to Time Warner's America Online unit as president, AOL Media Networks. Partilla will coordinate advertiser-driven programs that involve all of Time Warner's business units. Since 2000, Partilla has served as CEO of Brand Buzz, a creative solutions agency he founded within Y&R Inc. He also served as executive vice president, global client leader of the Sony Electronics account at Y&R Advertising.

  • PETER LEHMANN has joined Twelve Horses, a provider of electronic marketing and automated business communications, as vice president of marketing & business development. Lehmann joins Twelve Horses after nearly four years with Intuit, a provider of business and financial management solutions for small businesses, consumers and accounting professionals.

  • DAVID OWEN has joined GoGORILLA Media as CEO, assuming the position from founder ALAN WOLAN, who will act as chairman of the company. Most recently, Owen ran interactive sales and marketing for YM magazine at G+J USA Publishing.

  • Screenvision announced that JASON BROWN has been appointed senior vice president of U.S. national sales replacing TODD SIEGEL who has left the company. Prior to joining Screenvision, Brown was the national sales manager at Discovery Communications.

  • Visible World announced that BILL KATZ has joined its board of directors. Katz is the former president and CEO of BBDO New York.

  • BILL FREEMAN, former president of direct response TV firm Advanced Results Marketing and former president of the TBWA Chiat/Day office in St. Louis, was named president of Mozaic, a full-service creative design firm.
