  • Advertising.com has named CHARLES WHITTINGHAM regional vice-president sales, western region. Prior to joining Advertising.com, he served as vice-president sales west region for The Excite Network and also held posts at About.com, Wired Magazine, J. Walter Thompson, and People Magazine.

  • Zinio Systems, a company specializing in digital magazine production, distribution and circulation, announced several promotions and hires, including the appointment of DAVID ZINMAN as senior vice president of marketing and product management. The company also promoted PETER LONGO to president of Zinio's publishing division and JEFF BRUCE to senior vice president of worldwide sales. Additionally, Zinio named RITA BURKE as vice president of sales and DAVID ROCK as national sales director. Lastly, RICH MAGGIOTTO was promoted to vice president of business development and GRAHAM GOLDER to vice president in charge of engineering and network operations.

  • ERIC HUNTER has joined Men’s Health as director of promotions and marketing. Hunter most recently served as promotions director for Town & Country, overseeing all aspects of merchandising and promotional events. Prior to that, he served as associate director of merchandising for GQ and promotion director at Men’s Journal.

  • Hard Rock Cafe announced that SEAN DEE has been named vice president of marketing. For the past two years, Dee operated his own private marketing consultancy. Dee will oversee worldwide marketing for Hard Rock as well as the company's merchandise line and menu research and development team.

  • KEN THURLBECK has been named creative director for Philadelphia-based interactive agency, i-FRONTIER. He previously held the position of international creative director with Grey Advertising in Europe and vice president creative director at Digitas (New York). In addition, he was a partner in Café Media, a film and radical media production company.

  • ELLEN ELLIOTT has joined Cramer-Krasselt's Orlando office as vice president and media director and will oversee the media planning services and buying for the Florida office. Elliott held the position of vice president/media director for ten years at Barber Martin Advertising in Richmond, VA. Most recently, Elliott managed Elliott Advertising, her own consulting firm. Elliott has overseen media efforts for clients including Wachovia Health Management, Nextel Wireless, Arby's Restaurants, Verizon Wireless, and Wendy's.

  • icrossing announced that NANU RAMAMRUTHAM joined the company as director of product development. Ramamrutham will lead icrossing's product development team. He joins the firm after spending the past eleven years with Lucent Technologies.

  • SCI FI Channel has named ADAM STOTSKY, senior vice president, marketing & creative. Stotsky will create and implement the channel's brand and marketing strategy, and oversee strategic marketing, on-air and off-air promotional activities. Formerly vice president, brand marketing for SCI FI, Stotsky has been with the channel since 2001. Before joining SCI FI, Stotsky founded the Entertainment Practice at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide and served as the division's senior vice president and director.

  • Business 2.0 magazine has made several promotions, including ADAM HOROWITZ, from executive to deputy editor; AMY BERNSTEIN from senior to executive editor; DAMON DARLIN, from senior to web editor; NANCY EINHART, from associate to senior editor; and PAUL SLOAN, from senior writer to co-editor-at-large.

  • SFGT, Philadelphia, has promoted DAVID BURDEN to account director, from account supervisor. Additionally, the agency has hired BRIAN SIM as assistant account executive. Burrden will continue to manage the Timberlane and IFCO accounts. Burden had previously managed the launch effort for the National Constitution Center and special projects for Tylenol, Metro Newspapers and Coca-Cola.

  • Time4 Media's Marine Group named DAVID DIBENEDETTO as the editor of Salt Water Sportsman magazine. Formerly deputy editor of Field & Stream magazine, DiBenedetto succeeds BARRY GIBSON. DiBenedetto joined Time4 Media in March 2003 as articles editor at Field & Stream, and was promoted to deputy editor in June 2004. Previously, he was senior editor at Men's Journal.

  • J. SCOTT OMELIANUK was named editor of This Old House magazine. Omelianuk succeeds DAVID SLOAN. Omelianuk is the former executive editor of Esquire, an editor at GQ, and has written several books on matters of style. More recently, he scripted and hosted a program for Cablevision, and was a contributor to Details magazine.

  • Atlanta-based Studiocom has hired MARK KESSLER to serve as director of operations. Kessler will oversee production of Studiocom interactive solutions and online branding initiatives. Most recently, Kessler was the interactive design manager for Philips Design in the U.S. He has also worked for Sapient Corporation and OgilvyOne/ Ogilvy Mather in Sydney, Australia.

  • LAUREN CASSIDY joined UnREAL Marketing Solutions as a copywriter in the creative department. She works with clients such as Speedo, Eastbay and Dermablend.
