  • Interpublic has named ED POWERS chief operating officer of Lowe Worldwide. Most recently, Powers was chief operating officer of Interpublic's Constituency Management Group. While there, Powers was responsible for worldwide operations, including finance, business planning, human resources, MIS, real estate, and facilities management.

  • BBH promoted MARY FERRIS to account director on Axe, a Unilever brand. Ferris will be responsible for managing all aspects of advertising development for the deodorant body spray. Ferris began her career in advertising at BBH in 2000 as an account assistant. Since then, she has worked as assistant account manager and account manager, working on such brands as Reebok Classic, Levi’s, and Match.com.

  • Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide has added three executives to the New York office. MARY BAGLIVO, current president of Arnold Worldwide, will join Saatchi & Saatchi New York as CEO and worldwide marketing director; TONY GRANGER, currently executive creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi’s London agency joins as executive creative director; and VAUGHAN EMSLEY has been promoted to general manager to head up the Procter & Gamble account.

  • SUE NOLAN has been named director of agency sales at EyeWonder’s New York office. Previously, she was the senior vice president of sales planning and strategic development at National Cable Communications.

  • RICK BRUNER has joined DoubleClick as a research manager and HAL MUCHNICK has been named vice president, advertising solution sales, North America. Bruner is a marketing strategist with 15 years experience helping businesses develop results-focused marketing programs, define customer-driven products, hone competitive intelligence, and train staff in e-business. He has worked as a private consultant for the past several years. Prior to joining DoubleClick, Muchnick was chief operating officer of Lowermybills, where he was responsible for day-to-day operations of the company, including technology, sales, product development, and marketing.

  • Adlink announced that ERIC KERN has been hired as national sales manager. Before joining Adlink, Kern held the position of the national sales manager at KTTV/KCOP.

  • GOLF Magazine has hired three new staff members. LIZ THORINGTON, formerly southeast manager for Money magazine, joins the magazine’s Atlanta office as southeast manager; DEVON WALSH, formerly account manager for Better Homes and Gardens, joins the New York office as senior account executive; and AMY MACAULEY joins Golf magazine’s Los Angeles office as senior account executive.

  • KW Advertising has named VICKI LEE as media director. Most recently, Lee was group media director at Cramer-Krasselt.

  • WhitePages.com has promoted KEVIN HICKS to vice president of online advertising sales. Hicks joined the company in early 2003 as director of online advertising sales. Hicks previously managed sales for such companies as Go2net, Petersen Publishing, Multiple Zones, and Channel Guide magazine.

  • The Parenting Group named LISA SINGER MORAN as executive editor of BabyTalk magazine. She has been a member of the BabyTalk editorial team since 2000, when she joined the magazine as senior health editor.

  • IAG Research, the TV ad effectiveness ratings company, has hired ALFA O’NEILL as executive vice president, entertainment research. In this role, O’Neill will provide media and market research expertise to support the movie titles and television programs of current IAG entertainment clients, develop new data products and analytic tools using IAG’s proprietary data collection system, and forge new business relationships. Prior to joining IAG Research, O’Neill was executive vice president & general manager of McCann-Erickson Entertainment. Also at IAG, LOIS MILLER has been named corporate executive vice president. Miller will be leading IAG’s automotive practice. Prior to joining IAG, Miller was vice president of advertising and marketing for Hearst Magazines, Corporate Division.

  • La Opinión has named RUBEN KEOSEYAN as executive editor. Previously, Keoseyan served as managing editor.

  • ZAZEL LOVEN has been named senior editor for Organic Gardening magazine. Loven joins Organic Gardening from Country Living Gardener magazine where she served as lifestyle editor.

  • TACODA Systems has named ART DOLIMPIO to the newly created position of senior vice president, operations and service. Dolimpio joins TACODA from 24/7 Real Media where he had been vice president of technical operations since 2000.

  • Empower MediaMarketing has made three additions to its staff. REBEKAH CARLTON joins as media buyer, MITCHELL DUNN as account supervisor, and LISA ELMENDORF as account manager.

  • Worldwide Partners has named AL MOFFATT as president and chief executive officer. Moffatt replaces PATRICIA PARKER FISKE, who is retiring after 18 years.

  • KEVIN BLAINE has joined Telmar as West Coast account services representative. Prior to joining Telmar, Blaine was at Eforce Media, where he opened and maintained the Santa Monica sales office. He has also held multiple sales positions at Interep Interactive Media in Los Angeles.

  • Reprise Media, a SEM firm, has named PRASHANT DESAI director of product management and promoted DAN BROUGH, to director of operations. Desai will oversee the development of new tools, features, and processes Reprise Media will use to evaluate and optimize its clients' Web sites. Brough will play a more prominent role in the company as well as act as the primary liaison with search engine vendors, such as Google, Yahoo!, and Findwhat.

  • ElectricArtists, an online marketing firm, has named DAVE SMITH director of business development in its New York office. In this role, Smith will be responsible for new business initiatives, external communications, and offline market expansion. He will work to strengthen and expand the firm’s existing client base in consumer brands, television, film, DVD, music, video games, and publishing.

  • Turner Media Group (TMG) has appointed PATRICK IVERS to head Turner Ad Group, TMG's full service advertising media organization. Most recently, Ivers was vice president and general manager for Comcast Spotlight in which he was responsible for all aspects of advertising sales and operations throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

  • BIG Interactive, a Los Angeles-based Internet marketing agency, announced that GILLIAN GUTIERREZ, an executive formerly with Zentropy Partners, has joined the company’s account management team as vice president, director of account services. In this role, Gutierrez will oversee BIG’s accounts which include Fox, Suzuki, KB Home, E!, and Kellogg’s among others. During her time at Zentropy Partners, Gutierrez served as both an account lead and strategic lead on some of the agencies largest accounts, including General Motors.

  • STEVE PLEVIN has been named vice president /publisher of LowCarb Living magazine. Plevin joined the magazine in June as vice president, sales. He was most recently publisher/vice president, sales, of Macworld magazine at Mac Publishing LLC, a division of IDG.

  • LISA KELLER has joined Mountain Sports Media as western sales manager. Keller will be responsible for all aspects of western regional Mountain Sports Media sales. Prior to her role as account manager with Newsweek, Keller served as west coast manager for the New York Daily News.

  • Meredith Corporation has named JULIE PINKWATER vice president/publisher of Ladies’ Home Journal magazine. Pinkwater, who previously worked at Ladies’ Home Journal and More, re-joins Meredith from Fitness magazine, where she had served as publisher since 2001. She will replace LYNN LEHMKUHL, who is leaving to become publisher of Yoga Journal.

  • Cronin and Company has promoted two employees. DIANE WOODRUFF has advanced from manager of business development to director of business development. Woodruff has been with Cronin for two years and spearheads the agency’s new business efforts. JEANNE CORCORAN WIGGIN has been promoted from account executive to senior account executive in Cronin’s public relations division.

  • ImpreMedia has named ERICH LINKER to the newly created position of senior vice president national advertising sales. Linker was most recently senior vice president, sales director at Newspapers First, managing national advertising sales for 42 newspapers through five regional sales offices. Linker also spent twenty years at The New York Times, including six as senior vice president, advertising director.

  • Ecount, a provider of electronic payment solutions, has named MARK HARRINGTON, a co-founder of Half.com, senior vice president of marketing.
