  • Starcom USA has named WENDY FALK MACGREGOR as senior vice president, strategic marketing. In this newly created role, MacGregor will develop new tools and services that will leverage Starcom's planning, investment, accountability, and partnership expertise.

    141 Worldwide has appointed ADAM GARGANI as executive vice president, director of planning in its New York office. Gargani will be responsible for helping shape and lead the role of strategic planning with 141's clients, focusing on the R.J. Reynolds and Imperial Tobacco businesses. Prior to joining 141, Gargani spent 15 years with Foote, Cone & Belding, where his client experience included Tropicana, Rayovac batteries, Universal Studios, and Winston cigarettes.

    NANCY WOLPERT and LISA SILVERMAN-MEYERS have been named vice president, home video/DVD, and vice president, strategic planning and marketing services, respectively, of Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products.


  • HANK CLOSE has been appointed executive vice president, ad sales, for MTV Networks' Music and Comedy Group. In his new role, Close will be responsible for managing the channels' on-air and online sales teams. Sue Danaher, Close's counterpart, will continue as executive vice president, sales of the MTVN Entertainment sales team, which includes all the Nickelodeon TV and online brands, including Spike TV, Nick at Nite, and TV Land. Close was most recently executive vice president, ad sales for Comedy Central. Prior to that, Close spent 12 years in a variety of sales positions at the Fox Network.


  • icrossing has added KENDALL ALLEN as East Coast director of client services. Allen comes to icrossing from Fathom Online, where she established the company’s East Coast client base and managed New York operations.


  • TACODAhas promoted BENNETT ZUCKER, who has been executive director, customer success, to vice president, customer success, and ALISON LOWERY moves from director of engineering to vice president, engineering.


  • JOE MORROW has been named president of Enlighten, working under STEVE GLAUBERMAN, chairman and CEO.


  • Deutsch NY has promoted INGRID BERNSTEIN, senior vice president, director of creative and strategy at iDeutsch; JURENE FREMSTAD, senior vice president, associate director of account planning; and ERICA SCHNALL, senior vice president, director of account management.


  • TODD TILFORD has joined BBDO New York in the new position of executive creative director, director of visual communications. Tilford will help launch a new in-house design capability for clients. He will also oversee the agency’s studio and print production departments. Tilford joins BBDO from TM Advertising in Irving, Texas, where he was a creative director.


  • Meredith Corporation has promoted JENNIFER ROBERTS New York advertising manager of Country Home magazine. In addition, Meredith named WILLIAM SHANER and ANDY HIBBLER account executives for Country Home.


  • kirshenbaum bond + partners has named JENNIFER LANDERS to the position of associate director, corporate development. In this role, Landers will oversee a new corporate communications team, handling all internal and external communications for all kbp companies. In addition, she will work on business development, primarily with The Media Kitchen. Landers returns to kbp from DVC Worldwide, where she held the position of vice president, client services. 

  • BRIAN OBER

    BRIAN OBER has been promoted to the position of vice president, finance and administration of Warner Bros. Online (WBOL). Ober will manage all financial aspects of the, including finance staff, operational, and corporate financial reporting and will assist in setting long-term business plans. Ober previously served as director, finance for WBOL, where he oversaw all operational finance functions.


  • Eurekster has realigned its senior management ranks, as STEVEN E. MARDER, a co-founder and former chairman of the company, becomes chief executive officer. Co-founder and former CEO, GRANT RYAN assumes the role of executive chairman and will also continue to lead Eurekster’s IP and product development efforts.


  • SCOTT HOPKINS has joined Anderson Direct Marketing to head up its agency services group.


  • MATTHEW T. BARBA, former associate publisher of Atlantic Monthly, has been named publisher of Fast Company magazine.


  • Telmar has named MATTHEW HODGES to its Midwest client service team. Hodges worked at various agencies within the Chicago area, including Carat USA and Kelly Scott & Madison.


  • Forbes.com has named EMILY KUTNER as director, corporate communications. Kutner joins Forbes.com from the Interactive Advertising Bureau, where she was director of public relations, leading communications, media relations, analyst relations, and public affairs for the association. 


  • Jones MediaAmerica has named DAVE SIMON as national account manager for the Midwest territory. Most recently, Simon was a senior account executive at Continental TV Sales, Chicago. Prior to that, he worked as a radio and TV media buyer at BBDO.


  • ANDREW SNYDER has been named vice president, iMedia advertising sales for Discovery Networks, U.S. Snyder will oversee all sales efforts for Discovery's iMedia offerings, including Discovery.com, broadband, video on demand, and other interactive platforms. Previously, Snyder was director, Midwest advertising sales for ESPN.com.


  • Renegade Marketing Group has hired ALEX SCHNEIDER as an account supervisor. Schneider is currently supervising work on Renegade's HSBC account and Panasonic's involvement in the Dew Action Sports Tour. Prior to joining Renegade, he was an account supervisor at Ogilvy & Mather, where he supervised the Miller Lite, MGD, Foster's, and Sprite accounts.


  • Rent-Direct.com has named HEDY END director of marketing and business development. Endspecializes in relationship marketing and growing businesses, and among her projects will be the development of the company’s affiliate and referral programs.


  • Bravo, a U.S. Hispanic integrated communications agency, has named KATHY WHITLOCK as vice president, managing director and promoted NILDA VELEZ and JOSÉ E. ARANDIA to vice president, managing directors. Whitlock will oversee the Sears and Cingular accounts. Whitlock joins Bravo from Warner Bros. Movieworld Madrid, where she was director of sales and marketing.


  • VINCE KALT has joined Bader Rutter & Associates as an account executive on the Dow AgroSciences account team. Prior to joining Bader Rutter, Kalt worked at Colle+McVoy as an account executive working with clients such as Croplan Genetics and Bayer Environmental Science.


  • The Ebeling Group has hired STEPHANIE STEPHENS as its new rep, handling Texas and the West Coast region. Prior to becoming a rep, Stephens was a partner/account director at TBWA/Chiat/Day in Los Angeles, where she managed the Energizer, Museum of Contemporary Art, and Industry Standard accounts.


  • CRISTINA DE LA FUENTE has joined T3 as an account coordinator for Quark. De La Fuente comes to T3 from Media Strategies where she worked as an account and information services coordinator. In addition, MEREDITH REA joined T3 as an account coordinator for Dell Online. Most recently, Rea worked as a media account coordinator at Kolar Advertising and Marketing. Rea will be responsible for various day-to-day account management duties.
