  • ENC Marketing & Communications has hired KRISTINA KURZ as business development manager. Most recently, she promoted regional and national brands at the Washington Business Journal.


  • The Concept Farm has named BLAKE OLSON to the position of growth director. In this new post Olson will oversee The Concept Farm’s new business efforts and serve as a senior account manager for the company.  Olson comes to The Concept Farm from DDB/New York, where he held the title of director of brand integration in its new business unit, serving as the agency’s in-house expert on integrated communications. 


  • Draft New York has tapped RICK BOCK to help oversee the agency's finance department as vice president, general finance controller. Most recently, he spent seven years as financial controller at the New York office of TBWAChiatDay. Prior to that, Bock spent five years at Siemens Corporation.


  • Country Living has named MARTHA GALE, DEBORAH COHEN, and MELISSA VICTORIO to the positions of account managers. Gale joined Hearst in 1999 as category manager for the food/packaged goods and health division at Good Housekeeping. Cohen is the former account director for Conde Nast's House & Gardener and account manager for Meredith's Better Homes and Gardening Special Interest Publications. Victorio joins Hearst as the former associate account executive for TV Guide Magazine.


  • MSNBC.com has added CONRAD JUNGMANN JR. to its sales team. As group product manager Jungmann’s efforts will focus on developing sales products and packages for MSNBC.com. Most recently, Jungmann worked at KING-TV (NBC) and Belo Interactive, where he served as the director of Internet sales for KING5.com, NWCN.com and KREM.com.


  • AÏDA SHALKOW has been named account supervisor at Accentmarketing in Miami. She joins the company from Conexión PR.


  • Modem Media has named DANI NADEL to the position of executive vice president, managing director - Norwalk. Nadel replaces DAVID LYNCH, a 10-year veteran of the agency, who resigned. Nadel most recently served as senior vice president, marketing, with Modem Media sibling agency Digitas LLC in New York.


  • CHRISTOPHER FOLLETT has been named executive creative director for the Pacific offices (San Francisco and Los Angeles) of Avenue A | Razorfish. Follett will oversee a team of more than 40; His new main focus is developing Rich Internet Applications. He was previously head of creative services for Divine.


  • Liberty Wire & Cable has named ANDY BERGDOLL president and chief executive officer of the company.


  • HEATHER FAUST has been named vice president/director Midwestern/Western sales for PARADE magazine. Faust joined PARADE in 1990 as a sales representative. Also at the magazine, CHUCK WUTKE, with PARADE since 1991 as an account executive, was promoted to Chicago advertising manager. He will lead the day-to-day activities of the Chicago sales team.


  • Klipmart Corporation, a provider of online video delivery and management services, has promoted RICK KLECZKOWSKI to vice president, strategic accounts, a newly created position. Kleczkowski was most recently vice president, Latin America for Klipmart in its São Paulo, Brazil office. In addition, ENRIQUE CARRETERO, who was sales director, has been promoted to regional manager, Latin America and will assume responsibility for continued growth in the region. Kleczkowski will lead Klipmart’s business strategy and account development initiatives across key customer segments including agencies, marketers, and publishers.


  • Stephen Gordet Associates (SGA) has promoted HERMAN GRABOSKY from account executive to interactive media manager responsible for the agency’s online Yellow Pages advertising, media buying, and search engine optimization efforts. Prior to joining SGA, Grabosky produced advertising schedules, radio copy, and new business presentations for Clear Channel Worldwide. In addition, AMBERLY HILINSKI has been hired as account executive to handle existing accounts as well as new business wins for the agency. Lastly, STEVE MAYTON joins the company as interactive designer in SGA's Internet group.


  • Communications America (CCA) has named MELISSA PORDY director of media investment solutions. Prior to establishing an independent practice in 2003, Pordy was the senior vice president/director of print services for ZenithOptimedia Group.


  • Fulgent Media Group, a full-service media agency, has named GEOFFREY KLAPISCH as vice president. Most recently, Klapisch served as director of marketing for Dancing Deer Baking Company where he worked on promotional efforts for the ‘Break the Curse’ Cookie campaign.


  • Revenue Science has named KEVIN J. MCGURN as the director of revenue management. Most recently, he was a senior sales executive at DoubleClick where he led implementation of a global strategic sales structure with DoubleClick's largest agency clients including WPP and Mediacom. Prior to his tenure at DoubleClick, McGurn was vice president of agency management at Unicast, and a sales and marketing manager at Fortune magazine. In addition, MELINDA KLABER, most recently at Screenvision, has joined the company as corporate marketing director.


  • Square One has named CHRIS SEKIN as its executive creative director. Most recently, Sekin spent four years as executive creative director at Slingshot.


  • Halogen, the direct response division of Starcom MediaVest Group, has named ROB SCHMIDT as media director. Schmidt is responsible for developing direct response strategy and managing media campaigns for clients in the Chicago office, including Simmons, Score! Educational Centers, and Delta Dental/AARP. Prior to joining Halogen, Schmidt was media director at Blue Chip Marketing & Communications, where he oversaw the direct response and general awareness planning and buying process for clients in the pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods industries.


  • Scholastic Book Clubs has named HALLY BAYER as vice president, promotion. In her new role, Bayer will oversee the development and implementation of promotional programs and strategies for Scholastic Book Clubs’ monthly book club catalogs. She was most recently vice president, planning and development at Nickelodeon/MTV Networks, where she directed the strategic operations and business development for the magazine division, including Nickelodeon Magazine and Nick Jr. Family Magazine.


  • Gospel Music Channel has appointed BARBARA BEKKEDAHL director of national advertising sales. Previously, Bekkedahl served at The Family Channel/Fox Family/ABC Family Worldwide, where she rose from vice president and director of advertising sales to executive vice president of advertising sales.


  • Explore Communications has promoted ERIN HAUSER to media supervisor, up from senior media planner. In her new role, Hauser will handle management duties and oversee many of Explore's key accounts.
