  • WonderGroup has hired SARAH BURDELL as assistant account executive; DAVE TOWNSEND as senior vice president; JEFF JONES as director of interactive media; LESLIE BEIL as account executive, promotions; and ELAINE SKELDON as account executive.

  • Initiative North America has hired BRIAN KELLY as executive vice president, retail marketing. Kelly will manage The Home Depot account. Most recently, he ran Kelly Consulting, which provided business and brand consulting to regional, multi-unit service organizations.

  • Inside TV has added ALLISON J. MATZ, beauty and health director, and ERIK M. SCHEAR, category director, to its advertising sales team. Matz joins the company after serving as beauty director at both CosmoGIRL! and Teen magazines. Schear was New England manager for four years at Travel & Leisure Golf.

  • Business 2.0 magazine has made three new appointments to its sales and marketing team: MICHELE GERUS as Northwest manager, RENEE SNYDER as sales development director, and GLENN GRAY as account manager.

  • BEN DAVIS has joined DayPort as director of operations.

  • BILL GOLDSTEIN has joined Planning Group International (PGI) as director of strategic planning and will oversee creative work, client management and business development, primarily for the interactive marketing accounts. In addition, BILL WHELAN has been named creative director and RICK LAWRENCE has been hired as associate creative director.

  • HELEN KARAS has been promoted to senior vice president, Eastern sales at Rainbow Media. She is responsible for all national ad sales agreements in New York, as well as in the Southeast and Midwest states for both AMC and WE: Women's Entertainment. Additionally, STEVE LUTTINGER has been hired as vice president of pricing and planning. Luttinger will be responsible for setting revenue guidelines for AMC and WE's commercial inventory and maximizing the network's advertising revenue.

  • TransWorld Media named MAXX VON MARBOD associate publisher of TransWorld SNOWboarding, overseeing advertising sales efforts for the magazine. He most recently served as sales manager for Option-NFA Inc.

  • DANIELLE BROWN has joined USA WEEKEND magazine as an account executive. Most recently, Brown was an account executive at JET magazine, where she worked on accounts in health, beauty, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications.

  • With Horizon Media's recent acquisition of Mass Transit Interactive, so come the changes in job titles. RUBY GOTTLIEB, formerly Horizon's senior vice president, affiliated services becomes managing director, Horizon Interactive and JASON HELLER, formerly CEO of Mass Transit Interactive, also takes on the title managing director, Horizon Interactive. JASON BURNHAM, formerly Mass Transit Interactive president, is now media director of Horizon Interactive.

  • JOSHUA KORNBLIT has joined Deep Focus as senior interactive media planner.

  • St. John & Partners Advertising & Public Relations has hired JENIFER HARMON as account group director to oversee its Zaxby's account team. She comes to St. John & Partners from Erwin-Penland Advertising, where she was management supervisor for the firm's Fatz Cafe, Advance America, ScanSource and Regent Medical accounts.

  • SAUL FRUCHTHENDLER has joined REVShare as vice president / director of client services and MARC JOHNSTON is the newly appointed controller for the company.

  • LISA HOLLAND and TRISH ILIFF have been promoted to account directors of affiliate advertising sales for Discovery Networks, U.S., responsible for the Western and Northern region territories, respectively. They were previously managers of affiliate ad sales. In their new roles, Holland and Iliff oversee the development, execution and management of all local and regional affiliate marketing promotions, initiatives and customized affiliate promotions in their territories.

  • R/GA has made a number of recent hires. KIP VOYTEK was named executive creative director; KEN O'DONNELL joins as director of integrated contact planning; and GREG FAHERTY, JENNY HARRIS, ROB PULCIANI and GABE WEISS have been named account directors.

  • mOne Worldwide has hired SUHAILA SUHIMI-WALDNER as senior partner/media director to oversee its Global Brand Team in New York. She joins the agency from Media Contacts, the digital and direct media arm of MPG, where she served as vice president, group account director.

  • WILLIAM N. MURRAY has been named San Francisco sales manager for PARADE magazine. Murray joins PARADE from Newsweek where he was Boston sales manager since June 2002.

  • MPG has transferred MARTA MARTINEZ to a key strategic position at MPG North America from MPG Global. Martinez has been added to MPG's Catalyst team as vice president, strategic planning; formerly she was vice president, global knowledge management. In her new role, she will work closely with MPG clients to develop communications strategies that support their brands.

  • CO-OP, New York has appointed KATERINA MCCARTHY senior account manager. She most recently held the post of senior account executive at McCann Erickson North America, working on the agency's Wendy's International account and the White House Project.

  • DAVID LEVIN has joined Draft Chicago as vice president on the Kaiser Permanente account. Levin was most recently vice president and account director at Deutsch.

  • Ten United has named BILL DRAKE group creative director of the Columbus office, a new position. He will oversee work for clients including Huntington Bank, Ohio Health and First Data Corp. Drake joins the agency from Blattner Brunner, Pittsburgh where he was executive creative director.
