  • Hill, Holliday Hispanic has named GEORGIA RUIZ-TORRES as management supervisor in the agency's Miami office. Ruiz-Torres will lead the Hispanic marketing efforts for the CVS/Pharmacy business and work to grow new business efforts. Prior to joining Hill, Holliday Hispanic, Ruiz-Torres served as brand development director for OPUS7 in New York.


  • Draft New York has promoted two vice presidents in its Account Services team. MICHAEL GOLDSTEIN, formerly vice president, management supervisor, has been named vice president, account director. ALICIA WOLF, formerly management supervisor, has been promoted to vice president, management supervisor.


  • Hill, Holliday has named KEVIN WALSH executive vice president and chief financial officer. Most recently, Walsh served as vice president and chief financial officer for the Avedis Zildjian Company in Norwell, Mass.


  • The Wall Street Journal has appointed WALTER HODGE district sales manager, Detroit advertising sales. Hodge will be managing the Detroit sales staff, with responsibility for overseeing automotive clients.


  • IRA MATATHIA has been named vice president development and integrated strategy director of TAXI New York.


  • LANCE WOLDER will manage the Southwest region at Gorilla Nation Media. Most recently, Wolder served as western regional manager for Eyeblaster.


  • SchoolSportsmagazine has named MIKE VAN as its national advertising director. Van was formerly West Coast sales director for The Source magazine.


  • LAUREN WIENER has been promoted to vice president of Meredith Interactive. She served as the managing director of sales and marketing since July 2003.


  • TACODA has added SEAN FINNEGAN, U.S. director for OMD Digital and ROBERT DESENA, managing director at Mars Direct (Masterfoods USA), to the company’s board of advisors.


  • VAUGHN MORRISON, most recently news director for Fox Sports Net, has been named vice president, production for TV Guide SPOT. FRED POSTON, previously vice president, production operations for ABC Family, was named vice president, production operations for TV Guide SPOT. Morrison oversees the creative production process and is responsible for developing and extending the consumer experience across multiple platforms. Poston is responsible for managing internal operations for TV Guide SPOT including establishing an operational infrastructure.


  • TransWorld Media has promoted JACK SPILBERG to sales development manager.


  • MELISSA KIMBLE has been promoted from account supervisor to management supervisor breatheinteractive. She will continue to work with several clients, including BellSouth Advertising & Publishing Corporation, BellSouth, Publix Super Markets, and the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau. In addition, JULIA BROWN has been promoted to business development manager. She previously held the account executive and assistant account executive titles. KATIE WHITNEY was also promoted to account supervisor from production manager at breatheinteractive. In her new position, she will work on several accounts, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Russell Athletic, Marriott International, LandAmerica, and Southeast Toyota Distributors.


  • Russell Research announced that ERIC HUNTER has joined the market research firm as director of qualitative services to establish a qualitative market research practice within the firm.


  • Giant Ideas has promoted STAN MUSCHWECK to president. Muschweck has been with Giant for two years and previously served as executive vice president. Former president and founder BRYAN K. WARD will now serve as chief executive officer and executive creative director.


  • HELEN GRIFFIN has been appointed the new Family Friendly programming forum coordinator for the Association of National Advertisers (ANA). In this position she will serve as a liaison between the four committees that comprise the ANA’s Family Friendly Program Forum.


  • HEATHER NAUERT has been named a correspondent for ABC News. Prior to joining ABC News, Nauert reported for Fox News Channel covering breaking news on a daily basis. 


  • SFGT, Philadelphia, has hired ALEC KING as management supervisor, on agency-wide internal operations and on new business. King joins SFGT from Kanter Int’l., LLC, Philadelphia, where she was president/agency group. Previously, King was director of marketing at Carton Donofrio Partners, Baltimore, managing new business.


  • JEFFREY DOSTER has been named chief technology officer for Shop At Home and BILL CHRISTOPHER will serve as senior vice president of customer experience.


  • Draft New York has hired SEAN REMLER as vice president, account director. Most recently, Remler served as vice president, account director on Wunderman's Citibank account.


  • GIAN LOMBARDI has been named regional vice president of PointRoll and will lead PointRoll's East Cost Sales group. Lombardi has held senior level sales positions at Maven and DoubleClick Inc. KARIE GILSON joins the company as director of channel development and will be responsible for working with publishers that are part of PointRoll's proprietary Included Program.


  • JENNIFER DECHRISTOFORO joined Doubledown Media as marketing and promotions manager for both Trader Monthly and Justice Magazine. Previously, she was editorial special projects manager at Bride’s. MICHAEL DICHIARA joins the company as director, fashion, grooming and aviation at Trader Monthly. He was previously in ad sales at House Beautiful.


  • ED RENICKER has been promoted to executive vice president and general manager of the New York Interconnect (NYI) of Cablevision Systems Corporation. Renicker will oversee NYI, an advertising partnership between Cablevision and Comcast, which provides advertisers in the New York DMA with the ability to buy spot cable across 44 cable networks. Also at the company, BARRY FREY has been named senior vice president of advanced platform sales.
