  • Draft Chicago has named RICH KELLEMAN vice president, director of strategic planning on the Nokia account. Kelleman joins Draft from Upshot, where he rose from senior manager to vice president of creative planning, working on accounts such as Ford, P&G, and Sony.


  • The American Association ofAdvertising Agencies has named DON RICHARDS senior vice president, AAAA Agency Diversity Programs. A newly created position, Richards will be responsible for all association diversity programs, including oversight of operation success, a diversity initiative launched September 2004, the AAAA’s multicultural advertising intern program, and operation jumpstart, the AAAA Foundation’s minority scholarship program. Most recently, Richards served as associate national director, affirmative action and diversity, at Screen Actors Guild. Previously, Richards was senior vice president, director of resource development, at Leo Burnett.


  • Fathom Online has named STEVE GILLAN chief financial officer and MIKE GOOS to the position of vice president product management.


  • Al Roker Productions Inc. has named LISA SHARKEY as its president. AL ROKER, the founder of the multimedia company, will retain his role as CEO. Sharkey will oversee day-to-day operations and will be intimately involved with production, development, and sales. She was a senior producer at Good Morning America since 2000.


  • RONALD WAINER joined InsightExpress as senior account executive, dedicated to the consumer packaged goods sector. RYAN PRICE joined the company as account executive, emerging markets, and JASON TIFFER has been named account manager, servicing clients in the Technology Sector.


  • Sonic Corp. has named TODD TOWNSEND chief marketing officer. He joins the company from Yahoo!. Prior to that, Townsend spent nine years at The Leo Burnett Company.


  • Mailnet Services has named MIKE MANCINI as its vice president of sales. Mancini was most recently senior vice president of sales and marketing for SalesLink Corporation.


  • The Hub, a magazine for senior-level marketing executives, has named BRIAN MCMAHON as associate publisher. McMahon previously was vice president, relationship management for Prudential Financial.


  • McCann Worldgroup San Francisco has hired ROB BAGOT as executive vice president and executive creative director, MRM Partners for the Western Region. Bagot joins the agency from OgilvyOne New York where he has been co-group creative director, IBM Worldwide.


  • Jones MediaAmerica Inc. has named ROSE TENEYCK to the position of manager talk radio sales. TenEyck returns to radio sales, having most recently held the position of account manager at NBC Universal, where she represented the Paxson-owned TV stations. 


  • PRIMEDIA Enterprises, the worldwide licensing merchandising division of PRIMEDIA Inc., has named JULIE SMARTZ as director of retail development. Smartz will be responsible for building and supporting the PRIMEDIA brands across all categories. Prior to PRIMEDIA, Smartz was senior manager at Mattel brands consumer products division.


  • Blender magazine has made various hires throughout its offices. In advertising sales, AMY ELISEI has been named account manager in the New York City office, THECLA GLUECK has been appointed Northwest account director out of San Francisco, while VINCE AMALFI has been named Southern California director and will be in the Los Angeles office.


  • SARAH COOKINGHAM has been named to the post of director, iMedia sales marketing for Discovery Networks, U.S. Cookingham joins Discovery from Virgin Mobile USA, where she most recently served as director, brand and communications. Cookingham oversees the development and execution of partnership deals for Discovery’s iMedia offerings, including Discovery.com, broadband, and Discovery On Demand.


  • The Magazine Group has named PETER CHERUKURI director of marketing. Cherukuri will oversee branding and strategic initiatives for the Washington, D.C.-based firm. Most recently, Cherukuri was senior brand manager for Congressional Quarterly, where he oversaw corporate branding for the political and policy publisher’s print and online products.


  • ManiaTV!, a live Internet television network has named PETER CLEMENTE as its chief marketing officer. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of customer relationship marketing at Sony Corp's Digital Services division, vice president of CRM at Sony Music, and CEO at Oddcast.


  • Media services agency Media First International has named ED WEINER president and chief executive officer. Weiner, previously senior partner, will take over for RICHARD KOSTYRA, who will remain on as a consultant. 


  • MARLA SKIKO has been promoted to vice president/director of digital innovation at Tapestry, the multicultural division of Starcom MediaVest Group. In this role, Skiko will direct Tapestry's new IP group and manage research and integration with other forms of emerging contact channels such as VOD, DVR, mobile technologies, and gaming in respect to the multicultural consumer. Prior to this, Skiko served as director of investment.


  • Horizon Media has made a bevy of promotions in its local television group. JOSH GOLDMAN has been promoted to senior buyer, up from buyer. He joined Horizon as a TV buyer in 2000, from Bohbot Media. JEANNE YONKERS advances to senior buyer, up from buyer. Prior to joining Horizon, Yonkers was a local broadcast buying supervisor at Mindshare. DANA MONTALTO has been promoted to buyer, up from associate media buyer. Montalto joined Horizon in 1998 as a receptionist and then transferred to the local TV group as an assistant buyer. CHERYL TRUSKOLASKI has been promoted to buyer, up from associate buyer. Truskolaski started at Horizon in 2000 as an assistant buyer. KIJUAN FRYAR advances to associate buyer, up from assistant buyer. He joined Horizon in 2002 from MediaVest where he was an assistant buyer. Lastly, KERRY MILLER has been promoted to associate buyer up from assistant buyer. Miller joined Horizon in 2003 as an assistant buyer in the radio group but transferred to the TV group.


  • PRIMEDIA’s Performance Automotive Group has promoted JERRY PITT to publisher of HOT ROD MAGAZINE.


  • JOHN WEISGERBER has been named vice president and general manager of the new ForbesAutos.com Web site. Weisgerber will oversee and manage the ForbesAutos.com business, including: ad sales, marketing, traffic, and site development. He has been with Forbes since 2002, most recently as vice president, corporate sales for Forbes Magazine Group.  Prior to that, he was publisher of American Heritage and Forbes Custom Media. 


  • DAN MCLAUGHLIN has been named channel development manager within EyeWonder’s Channel Development Group. McLaughlin most recently served as ad operations manager for MTV Networks, specifically for MTV.com and VH1.com.


  • Yahoo! has tapped DAVID KATZ to oversee the sports and entertainment divisions of the Yahoo! media group, which include Yahoo! Sports, Yahoo! Entertainment, Yahoo! Movies, and Yahoo! TV. Katz joins Yahoo! after eight years as an executive at CBS Television Network, responsible for the Strategic Planning and Interactive Ventures departments. Prior to joining CBS, Katz worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company.


  • Draft Chicago has added LAURA MOSER as vice president and account director. Moser will be managing promotion, digital, in-store, and customer specific marketing efforts for a variety of clients. She joins Draft from Chicago’s 141 Worldwide where she served as group management supervisor responsible for four divisions of Kraft Foods.


  • PATRICK LEENEY, national account manager of CRN International, has relocated to CRN's Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota office to develop and service its Midwest and Canadian client base.


  • Intégrent has named HANS THEISEN as senior vice president. He was previously the head of Midwest sales at PointRoll.
