  • Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia has named AMY STANTON senior vice president, chief marketing officer. In this new position, Stanton will lead ongoing development of the company’s brand architecture and oversee all brand development, messaging, and promotional efforts for MSLO and its business segments. Stanton most recently served as director of marketing & communications for New York's Olympic bid for the 2012 Olympic games.


  • Horizon Media has made some promotions and hires. MEGAN ANDREWS has been promoted to Out of Home supervisor, up from Out of Home buyer. NICOLE GODFREY has been promoted to Out of Home specialist, up from OOH coordinator. DANIEL BAUMAN has joined Horizon as an Out of Home coordinator. Lastly, BRANDON JARVIS joins Horizon's National Broadcast Group as a buyer. Jarvis joins the agency from MediaVest, where he was a buyer.


  • Deep Focus has hired DANA DESKIEWICZ as creative director.


  • CARLETON CURTIS has been named managing editor of TransWorld SKATEboarding. Curtis joins the magazine from CCS, where he served as a contract editor and Saatchi & Saatchi, where he served as a copy editor.


  • United Virtualities has promoted CANDELA LEVI to be head of operational auditing, a newly created position. Levi will be based in the company’s Buenos Aires, Argentina office.


  • The Republik, Durham, has named QUINCY BROWN as interactive director. He will oversee all accounts, developing e-commerce solutions, e-mail marketing and interactive advertising, animation and games. Previously, Brown was a partner at Q-Media Interactive, New York.


  • Prime Access has named ANA LARIOS DIMARIA as account supervisor. In her new position, Larios DiMaria will supervise account service and program strategy for pharmaceutical clients represented by the agency.


  • Verizon Information Services has named ERIC CHANDLER president of its Internet Division. Chandler oversees product development, marketing, training and fulfillment for SuperPages.com, SuperPages On the Go, and Web hosting and development for Verizon Information Services. In addition, SCOTT LAVER has been named president of Verizon Information Services Big East Region.


  • JOHN CHRISTENSON has been promoted to account executive at Bader Rutter & Associates.


  • Meyer & Wallis has named VICTORIA KOENS as an account executive to provide account and project management to clients including Cardinal Stritch University and Flanner's Home Entertainment.


  • BONNIE PISARSKI has been named senior account executive at GOLF MAGAZINE.


  • Priority, a marketing and publicity company, has opened an office in Holland. SANDRA VAN BERKEL will serve as account manager for Priority Holland.


  • Safeway has named JAMES D. WHITE as senior vice president, corporate brands. He will oversee the company's Corporate Brands organization including its marketing, manufacturing, finance and outside sales functions. White joins Safeway from the Gillette Company where he spent three years as senior vice president for business development, North America.


  • Tremor Network has appointed LAWRENCE SHENDER as its national sales manager for its operations in the U.S. Shender will be responsible for developing sales programs and targeted promotions, and managing national and regional trade show initiatives. Shender most recently worked for 24/7 Real Media and Hollywood Media Corp.


  • Poindexter Systems has named RICH LEFURGY to the newly created position of chairman of the board. LeFurgy is a principal at Archer, an online marketing consultancy, and co-founder of the IAB.


  • Boone/Oakley has hired MOLLY PHILPOTT as traffic manager on all accounts. Previously, Philpott was production manager for Mike Carroll Photography, Charlotte.


  • BBDO Chicago is being rebranded as ENERGY bbdo.


  • Setanta Sports has hired ANNA KORNERUP as regional director of affiliate sales.


  • aQuantive has promoted SCOTT HOWE to president of DRIVEpm, a performance media and behavioral targeting company. Prior to DRIVEpm, Howe spent more than four years as vice president/general manager of aQuantive's Avenue A | Razorfish business unit, where he worked for clients such as MSN, WeightWatchers.com, Nike, Disney, and Best Buy.


  • Affinity has added DAN JENNINGS to its research team as senior vice president / custom solutions. Jennings was most recently research director of the BusinessWeek franchise.


  • BETINA LEWIN has been appointed advertising sales representative for AARP Segunda Juventud. Lewin joins AARP Segunda Juventud from her position as director of Hispanic marketing and sales at SBS/Interep in New York.


  • Slate Magazine has hired ADAM PENENBERG as a technology writer. Most recently, he was a senior editor at Forbes and reporter for Forbes.com.


  • LESLIE F. SPASSER has joined The Weather Channel as deputy general counsel. She provides counsel to The Weather Channel Companies on a wide variety of legal affairs, business affairs and regulatory matters. Most recently, Spasser was a partner at Willcox & Savage, where she represented clients in the cable, media and technology industries.


  • Draft Chicago has added JOHN KENNY as vice president, strategic planning director to its Strategic Planning and Research team. Kenny will work primarily on strategy for Draft's global Nokia business. He joins Draft from Diageo in Ireland, where he most recently served as senior consumer planning manager for retail and spirits.


  • McGarrah/Jessee has hired JULIE SHENG to handle media planning duties on Frost Bank, Shiner Beer, and Central Market accounts. Sheng was most recently a print planner and buyer at MediaVest working on Kraft accounts such as Jell-O, Maxwell House and General Foods International.


  • JOHN ELDER, former associate partner at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners joins HEAT as president and equity partner. Elder will spearhead new business development and provide strategic counsel on Condé Nast, Moderati, and other agency clients.


  • Modem Media has named MINSOO PAK as vice president and creative director of Modem Media in Atlanta. Pak joins the agency from Studiocom and will lead Modem Media's creative teams on several key clients in the Southeast.
