  • DORIAN SWEET has joined Tribal DDB San Francisco as executive creative director. Sweet joins Tribal DDB from Agency.com where he worked as creative director leading the creative development for online advertising and web development.


  • Tribune Interactive, a division of Tribune Company, has promoted GREGORY WEBER to sales manager/western region. In this new position, Weber will be responsible for driving national sales growth in the western region for the entire network of Tribune Interactive websites.


  • Sigma Group has named CHRIS APOSTLE as director of strategic planning. Before joining Sigma Group, Apostle served as the president of branded entertainment firm, Gold Group, where he was responsible for business growth and providing strategic advisory to the agency’s clients, including Disney, Oxfam and Phat Farm.


  • The J. Brown Agency has appointed MIKE SCHEINER executive creative director. Scheiner comes to J. Brown from the New York office of DDB, where he served as creative director.


  • DOUG CAMPBELL has been promoted to senior vice president, general manager of the Automotive Classifieds Product, WorldNow Cars. Campbell will oversee the WorldNow carsbusiness, including sales and product development.


  • Philip Johnson Associates has named CHRIS FRAME and MATT MAGEE co-creative directors.


  • DANNY HUYNH has joined SMG Directory Marketing, a Starcom MediaVest Group company, as interactive manager.


  • The Africa Channel has appointed JONATHAN DUBOW to the position of executive vice president of marketing. Dubow is responsible for leading the channel's overall marketing activities. Prior to joining The Africa Channel, Dubow served as vice president of integrated marketing at Carat.


  • McGarrah/Jessee has hired ROB STORY as art director and BRIAN JORDAN as copywriter. Both men join the agency from GSD&M.


  • TNS Media Intelligence has named MARCY ABELOW senior vice president, advertiser/agency sales – eastern region. Abelow joins TNS Media Intelligence from Warner Brothers Domestic Television Distribution, where she was vice president, business development.


  • SQAD, a media cost research company, has promoted LAWRENCE S. FRIED, the former chief revenue officer, National TV, to the new post of vice president of NetCosts Services. Prior to working with SQAD, Fried worked for ABC in various senior management positions.


  • BRUCE CAMPBELL has been named executive vice president, business development for NBC Universal. Campbell replaces BRANDON BURGESS, who has resigned as executive vice president business development & international channels at NBC Universal and has joined Paxson Communications Corporation as Chief executive officer. Prior to his promotion, Campbell served as senior vice president, business development for NBC Universal.


  • Feedster has hired ALAN GRAHAM, a noted blog researcher, as the company’s community liaison. In addition, Feedster has promoted CHRIS REDLITZ from vice president sales and marketing to president.


  • MARIA MOLLAND has been appointed general manager of MarketWatch.com. Molland will be responsible for driving product development and innovation, design, operations, and general management of the Web business. Prior to joining MarketWatch, Molland worked at Yahoo!, where she was the director of business development for Yahoo Finance.


  • Hearst Magazines has named DAREN MAZZUCCA to associate publisher/advertising of Good Housekeeping. Mazzucca joins the magazine from Country Living as he served as associate publisher/advertising. Mazzucca replaces LAUREN MICHAELS who was recently named publisher of Weekend, Hearst's newest title.


  • DAVID HAUPTMAN has been named manager of the Denver office of Continental Television Sales. Hauptman comes to Continental from KUSA-TV in Denver where he was the national sales manager.


  • Online advertising network Experclick has named GLENN U. LEEDER as chief revenue officer and JOHN PERLIN as vice president, business development. Leeder joins the company from ValueClick Media, where he was a business development executive. Perlin also joins Experclick from ValueClick, where he served as the senior manager of business development and media.


  • TJ JACKSON is rejoining Men’s Health as executive director of fashion advertising. Jackson will be responsible for growing the fashion and retail categories for the Men’s Health brand, overseeing accounts in both the U.S. and Europe. Jackson returns to Men’s Health from Teen People, where he served as eastern advertising director.


  • SFGT has named JASON ALAN SNYDER to the new agency-wide position of head of technology and strategy. Snyder was previously director of design for America Online.


  • Organic has named JINENNE SUTHERLAND as group director of media and TIM ARMITAGE as group director of strategy for Organic's San Francisco office. Prior to joining Organic, Sutherland served as the media director at Mediasmith. Most recently, Armitage was co-owner of PITCH, a Los Angeles-based strategy consulting practice.


  • Gemstar-TV Guide International has promoted MICHAEL CLAYTON to general manager and executive vice president of the TV Guide Publishing Group. Clayton previously served as senior vice president, operations.


  • Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) has named IP media director STEPHEN GOVERNALE a vice president of the company. Governale operates as the search marketing expert within Starcom IP, a digital and online media agency within SMG.


  • MIKE BAKER, president and COO of Enpocket, has been promoted to CEO. PETER LARSEN, previously CEO, has resigned to pursue other interests. In addition, DAVID BARKER has been promoted to managing director, Europe. Barker is based in Enpocket’s London office and is responsible for leading Enpocket’s European operation.


  • PARTNERS+simons has hired STEVE LYNCH, formerly of Digitas, to serve as creative director of the agency's new interactive practice.


  • RYAN MAYWARD has been promoted from customer success manager to director, affiliate sales, a newly created position, at TACODA. Mayward will be responsible for recruiting new TACODA Audience Networks affiliates as well as negotiating branded media inventory acquisitions.
