  • InsightExpress has named LORA FEINMAN senior account executive, a new position within the company's Online Ad Effectiveness Group. Feinman will be responsible for developing the regional sales strategy for the East Coast, which includes New York, Boston and Atlanta. Feinman joins InsightExpress from Columbia House where she served as senior business development manager.


  • Universal McCann New York has promoted DANI BENOWITZ to senior vice president, group supervisor, overseeing the television AOR for more than 75 Johnson & Johnson brands along with all general market and Hispanic television negotiations. Also, JOAN MIKARDOS has been promoted to senior vice president, managing director, managing Johnson & Johnson OTC businesses including Tylenol and Pepcid.


  • BILL OWENS has been named senior broadcast producer for CBS Evening News With Bob Schieffer. He joins ROME HARTMAN, the newly announced executive producer of the broadcast. Owens joined 60 Minutes in 2003 as a producer for correspondent Scott Pelley.


  • Samsung Electronics America has promoted JIM SANDUSKI to senior vice president of marketing of the newly combined Digital Video and Audio Products Group. In addition, Samsung has added JOHN REVIE as vice president for the Visual Display Products Group.


  • DAN HARRISON has been named senior vice president, emerging networks, where he will oversee and develop Sleuth, the NBC Universal Television Group's new crime-mystery cable channel that will launch on January 1. Harrison will also continue to be responsible for managing Universal HD, NBCU's high-definition digital network. Previously, Harrison served as senior vice president, cross-network strategy & emerging networks.


  • Mediaedge:cia (MEC) has formed a new management team for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. MARK AUSTIN will continue to serve as chairman, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, with MELANIE VARLEY elevated to chief executive officer, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Varley replaces DOMINIC GRAINGER, who has now become managing director, GroupM, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Austin and Varley are tasked with driving the growth and success of Mediaedge:cia across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. Austin will focus primarily on Europe, Middle East, and Africa strategy development, management of the local markets, and mergers and acquisitions. Varley will develop all European based clients and MEC product and services, and will play a key role in the management of the business' specialist capabilities.


  • BRUCE WINTERTON has joined Hill, Holliday as executive vice president and director of client services. Winterton will manage and oversee the agency’s client services group across the network. Most recently, Winterton served as executive group director on the Motorola business at Ogilvy & Mather in New York.


  • The Los Angeles office of Universal McCann has made three vice president appointments for the Sony team. EMILY GLICKFELD has been promoted to vice president, associate broadcast director, responsible for providing the buying team with insights, goals and strategies on all Sony AOR broadcast buys. DAN PIERCE has been promoted to vice president, associate media director, responsible for overseeing all day-to-day media planning activities on the Sony Pictures Home Entertainment account. Lastly, CONSUELO ROVIROSA has been promoted to vice president, director of traffic and network clearance, overseeing all national broadcast, cable and local traffic for Sony Pictures, Home Entertainment, GSN and Sony Pictures Television.


  • Meyer & Wallis has added CRAIG GAGNON, vice president and director of account management, to its senior management team. Gagnon served most recently as vice president, management supervisor for BVK.


  • HEATHER ROETS has been promoted to vice president, traffic systems at Comcast Spotlight. Prior to Comcast, she worked for NCC (National Cable Communications).


  • EILEEN MURPHY has been named Gemstar-TV Guide’s senior vice president for corporate communications. Murphy will manage all media relations’ activities for the company and will oversee its internal and external communications. Murphy joined Gemstar-TV Guide in August as vice president, communications for the publishing group.


  • CYNTHIA WOOD, JESSICA DIETRICH, MARY LUONGO and DIANE ROTHMAN have joined Tango magazineassales representatives.


  • Former Los Angeles Dodger and San Diego Padres first baseman STEVE GARVEY has been named editor-at-large forSporting Goods Business.


  • PATRICK BENSON has been named senior vice president, director of digital marketing of TargetCast tcm. His responsibilities include developing media strategies for the Internet and emerging digital distribution channels. Benson joins the agency from Deutsch where he served as vice president, associate interactive director managing the New York and Los Angeles interactive teams.


  • J. EDWARD LEE has been appointed executive vice president, chief operating officer of ImaginAsian Entertainment, and TINO CALABRIA has been named vice president, operations. In addition, ANIL SRIVATSA has been promoted from senior vice president, affiliate sales & operations to executive vice president, affiliate sales & new business development; and DAVID L. CHU has been elevated from vice president, programming & production to senior vice president, programming & production.


  • THOMAS BURCHILL has been named chief executive officer of Venacá, a technology company that provides digital asset management solutions for the media industry. Burchill will focus on refining the product and service offering and supporting the management team in order to take Venacá to the next level. He has been a member of the company's board of directors, and joins the company from Galileo Management, where he served as principal. Prior to that, he was CEO of Lifetime Television.


  • Tribune Interactive, a division of Tribune Company, has named DANIEL E. HESS to the newly created position of vice president/strategic marketing. Hess is responsible for the development of marketing strategies that drive growth across Tribune Interactive businesses. He most recently served as senior vice president at comScore Networks.


  • JOE KYRIAKOZA, most recently partner and digital media manger of Ford Motor Media, has joined Jumpstart Automotive Media in the newly created position of vice president, product development.


  • Rivals.com has named DEIRDRE GANUN senior vice president of advertising sales. GaNun joins Rivals.com from ESPN.com, where she was senior account executive handling accounts such as Nextel, Anhueser Busch, MasterCard, Mercedes-Benz, Capital One and Citibank.


  • In a move that consolidates Wunderman’s automotive practice around the world, ALEXEI ORLOV has been named vice chairman, Wunderman. Orlov, who is responsible for Wunderman’s Global Ford Group (Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo and Mazda), will add to his responsibilities Lincoln Mercury, North America and Automotive in Latin America. Orlov will relocate to Wunderman’s New York headquarters.


  • Mansueto Ventures, LLC, the newly formed company that publishes Inc. and Fast Company, has named HUMPHRY ROLLESTON and PETER P.I. COWLES as marketing directors.


  • MobiTV, a provider of television and digital radio services for mobile devices, has hired JACK HALLAHAN as vice president, advertising and brand partnerships. Prior to joining MobiTV, Hallahan served as managing director at Wirestone where he drove advertising strategies for Apple Computer, TiVo and William-Sonoma. Prior to that, he served as vice president at AKQA, where he managed multi-channel marketing for CNN/SI, Mattel, Macy's, Nike and Visa USA.
