  • TODD UNGER has been namedsenior vice president, Time4 Digital. Unger is charged with spearheading the extension and expansion of Time4 Media brands online, as well as across other digital media platforms including mobile, satellite radio, and broadband video. Unger served most recently as senior vice president, brand extensions and general manager, online at Lifetime Entertainment.


  • TONY JARVIS has been named executive vice president of global research at Clear Channel Outdoor. Jarvis joins Clear Channel from Infinity Broadcasting (now CBS Radio), where he was research chief.


  • VALERIE GOPINATH has joined iKnowtion as an analytic director. Most recently, Gopinath served as senior analytic manager at PreVision Marketing.


  • GRETCHEN ERWIN, executive vice president and media director and co-founder of Erwin-Penland, is retiring. Associate media director BILL REYNOLDS will assume the role of media director and add the title of vice president, joining the agency’s eight-member senior management team. Reynolds joined Erwin-Penland from Henderson Advertising, where he served as media director for such clients as Texize/DowBrands and DaimlerChrysler.


  • MATTHEW WOODS WEBER has joined Mintz & Hoke as a senior media planner. Previously, he was media supervisor at Merkley and Partners. In addition, PETER “PJ” TYCIENSKI has joined Mintz & Hoke as a buyer of media and media promotions. Tycienski is responsible for developing, planning and buying promotional programs for clients.


  • Court TV News has appointed SAVANNAH GUTHRIE as lead correspondent in the network’s new Washington, D.C. bureau, reporting on legal and judicial news. Additionally, Court TV News senior field producer BRYAN LAVIETES has been assigned to the bureau.


  • Modem Media has named FRANK GALLON chief operating officer of the agency. Most recently, Gallon was CFO and COO of R/GA. Gallon will be responsible for managing corporate controls, and overseeing financial operations including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.


  • SUSAN AUERBACH has been named vice president and director of broadcast verification services (BVS), for TNS Media Intelligence. Auerbach joins the company from The Hotel Networks, where she was vice president, eastern sales.


  • Davie-Brown Entertainment has opened a New York office and named NANCY MAMMANA vice president in charge of growing the new office. Mammana will be responsible for providing the overall development of client business in consumer product and beverage areas.


  • DREW NEILSON has joined The Booyah Agency and will manage search engine marketing projects for EarthLink. Previously, Neilson worked for Carat Fusion.


  • kirshenbaum bond + partners’ LIME public relations + promotions company will merge with Jericho Communications, a full service public relations agency. The two companies will operate under the LIME name. CLAUDIA STRAUSS will remain president of LIME. ERIC YAVERBAUM, president and co-founder of Jericho, will become managing partner, client services director at LIME.


  • TOM HOLLERBACH, former president and chief executive officer of the West Coast offices of BBDO, has joined TBC Advertising & Public Relations as president and partner.


  • BURST! Media has promoted JOHN BABCOCK to outside account executive. Prior to BURST!, he was a media planner for Lowe & Partners. In addition, MATT COLLINS was named account executive in BURST!’s New York office. He joins the company from RIS News Magazine, where he served as account executive.


  • Fuse, the music network that plays music videos, has named DAVID WEIER vice president of music and talent relations and TRICIA O’LEARY as director of music and talent relations.


  • MICHAEL STEINBERG has been named chief operating officer & general counsel at Ellis Entertainment, a newly created position.


  • CARA EVERETT has joined Empower MediaMarketing as an account manager, responsible for the strategic development and execution of client media plans.


  • BILL WESTBROOK, former president and creative director at Fallon from 1993 to 1999, is returning to the agency as vice chair. Westbrook is not replacing PAUL SILBURN, Fallon’s recently departed executive creative director.


  • SMOKEY FONTAINE has joinedGIANT Magazine as editor-in-chief. Most recently, Fontaine founded america Magazine.


  • WorldNow has promoted STUART MARCUS to senior vice president, local ad sales. Marcus will manage WorldNow's Local Ad Sales team. Prior to WorldNow, he was southwest division manager at Paramount Pictures & Fox Television.


  • RICK FELDMAN has signed a multiyear agreement to continue as president and chief executive officer of the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE). Feldman has served as head of the association since 2003. Prior to joining NATPE, Feldman was executive vice president and chief operating officer of USA Broadcasting in Los Angeles.


  • The Link Agency has named CINDI EMERY as creative director & agency principal. She is in charge of the production and studio art departments and will oversee the creative team. Most recently, Emery spent six years at Catalyst Communications as associate creative director managing several technology accounts.


  • Ignite Health, a health care advertising agency, has appointed SIDNEY HO to the position of director, brand strategy. In addition, the agency has named ROSS FETTEROLF asaccount supervisor.


  • KMPC 1540 has hired KEITH SAMUELS as vice president and director of sales. Samuels most recently served as general sales manager of Clear Channel's KYSR-FM.


  • Chicken Soup for the Soul Magazinehas hired ROSILYN PARASHIS as marketing and sales assistant and LAUREN MABON as editorial assistant. Parashis will assist the sales team and publisher. Mabon will assist in the planning and production of the magazine.


  • ClickShift has named CHRIS GALE as an inside sales specialist. Gale joins the company from Abercrombie & Fitch.


  • CMP Media’s Electronics Group has named DAVID BURSKY as the group’s semiconductor editor. Bursky was employed at Electronic Design since 1973, working in various editorial positions.
