  • VLAD WOLYNETZ has been named vice president of production, series and movies for AMC. In his prior role at AMC as director of original programming and development, Wolynetz oversaw the production of AMC’s first original movie, Broken Trail.


  • GEORGE KLIAVKOFF has been named chief digital officer at NBC Universal. Kliavkoff will be responsible for furthering the Company's digital media strategy and developing new business models and markets. He will also oversee the operations of new broadband and wireless efforts as well as digital innovation and product development, portal and partner relationships, and the Digital Studios, which produces original and interactive content for all digital platforms. Kliavkoff joins NBC Universal from Major League Baseball Advance Media, where he was responsible for all business development related to baseball's interactive media unit.


  • STEPHANO KIM has joined [x+1] as senior vice president of business & corporate development, a newly created position. Most recently, Kim was a senior associate at Advanced Technology Ventures.


  • MICHAEL CASTRO has joined National Geographic Television as vice president of operations, in charge of overseeing the production operations.


  • Meredith Corporation has named JOHN RIHA editorial director of Meredith Special Interest Media. Riha currently serves as executive editor for Better Homes and Gardens magazine, where he is responsible for daily management of the magazine and developing editorial content.


  • Findology Interactive Media has hired CODY HUNTER as vice president of business development and TREVOR LAKIER was named vice president of operations.


  • JOHN DURHAM, previously executive vice president of business strategy at Carat Fusion, has joined Jumpstart Automotive Media as president of sales & marketing.


  • OTX (Online Testing eXchange) has promoted BRUCE FRIEND to president, media and entertainment insights. Friend joined OTX in 2003 as managing director and executive vice president for the Media and Entertainment Insights division.


  • STEPHEN D. CLOW has been named eastern region advertising director for PARADE magazine. Clow is responsible for ad sales activities in New York and joined PARADE from Time Inc.


  • ANDREW FISCHER has been namednational director, vertical strategies group at IAC Advertising Solutions. In addition, BUCK DOSSEY was named vertical strategies manager; and JULIA LU and ELLE GREEN were named vertical strategies specialists.


  • MediaSpan Software has named ROGER RETKE vice president of product management; MediaSpan Online Services has hired CHARLIE PONGER as director of sales for its Newspaper and Radio segments and MediaSpan Network has named DAVID GORDON director of network ad sales.


  • THOMAS GEORGE, most recently a sports columnist with the Denver Post, has been hired as managing editor for NFL Network.


  • Scholastic Parent & Childmagazine has named STEPHANIE IZAREK editor-in-chief. Izarek served as executive editor since 2002.


  • JAMES OSELAND has been promoted to editor-in-chief of Saveur, replacing COLMAN ANDREWS.


  • Southern Living has promoted TERESA WILSON LUX to vice president of marketing, responsible for the creation, development and management of major marketing programs.


  • LYNN CORTELEZZI and MITCH DUNN have been promoted to vice presidents, up from director of local media and account supervisor, respectively, at Empower MediaMarketing.


  • Starmark International has named CHRISTOPHER W. CLEWS vice president of consumer markets.


  • CHRISTIAN CUNNINGHAM has been named vice president of advertising sales for Freewebs.com. Previously, Cunningham was senior vice president of sales at Bolt Media.


  • KEVIN JONES was named vice president, urban & multicultural marketing, and KENNY BURNS was named consultant and lifestyle specialist at AMP Agency.


  • Q Interactive has promoted MATT WISE to president and CEO, replacing MATTHEW MOOG.


  • GREG VERDINO has been named vice president, director of emerging channels at Digitas. Verdino joins Digitas from ROO, a provider of online video broadcasting solutions, where he served as senior vice president.


  • PARIE MARKOWITZ, most recently associate campaign manager at Mobile ESPN, has joined Mobix Interactive in London as commercial manager.


  • Versaly Entertainment has promoted BRENDAN REGAN to programming director of its Vmbc.tv business unit that operates a group of ad-sponsored mobile video-on-demand channels on US carriers.


  • Cronin and Company has named GARY CAPREOL as associate media director. He will direct media plan development for new and existing clients, including Bernie's and Konica-Minolta.


  • DAVE MARTIN, most recently associate media director of Ignited Minds, has been named West coast account director of Horizon Interactive.
