  • Carat Fusion reorganized its West Coast senior management team by promoting PAUL SANTELLO to executive vice president, regional managing director, west. In addition, JOHN CATE is being promoted to the new position of senior vice president, general manager of Carat Fusion’s San Francisco office. He is replacing TRACY CUNNINGHAM, who is taking maternity leave. MICHAEL SOH was promoted to general manager of Carat Fusion’s Los Angeles office. He recently served as vice president, integrated media.


  • Active Athlete Media hired ADAM JOINER as director of sales, western area. He recently served as director of interactive sales for Fox Sports Net.


  • Capps Digital named RICHARD MENCONI as account manager.


  • 160over90 named JENNIFER ZICK as account executive; BRIDGET VALENTE was named traffic manager; and FRANI LIEBERMAN was named junior public relations account executive.


  • Media-Screen named JEAN DURALL, Ph.D. as director of research services. Before joining Media-Screen, Durall worked as a consultant with a number of companies providing client support and project management.


  • ALBERTO ROJAS joined the Ad Council as director, corporate communications. Prior to joining the Ad Council, Rojas served as director of client services at The Jeffrey Group.


  • DONNA KERIN has been named vice president, advertising and media sales, for NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Previously, Kerin served as a sales account executive in Late Night and Daytime Sales for NBC. In her new role, she will be responsible for national advertising and media sales for NBC Universal's current first-run syndicated programming.


  • Agency.com has hired PHILIPPE GUEGAN as strategy director and STEVE BAER as vice president of client services for the New York office. Guegan most recently served as a strategy director at Blast Radius. Baer joins from FullSIX UK.


  • Mediaedge:cia named CARI WEISSBERG as senior partner, group director for MEC Interaction, where she will handle the Cadbury Schweppes account. Weissberg joins the agency from Universal McCann where she served as vice president and director of digital strategy, leading all of the agency’s Johnson & Johnson digital business.


  • Castalia Communications named MARC OLIVIER as vice president of strategy and development charged with developing new business ventures for the company.


  • ViTrue named GLORIA GRIESSMAN as vice president of market development and KELLY HOLLIS as vice president of content and distribution.


  • Right Media named CHRIS MAHL as vice president of sales, DENISE COLELLA as vice president of international operations and HILLARY SMITH as general counsel.


  • StarLink promoted DAVIS BREWER to manager of digital technologies to manage the expansion of all client activity in the digital advertising space.


  • Internet Broadcasting promoted CLAYTON ROSE to executive vice president of business and corporate development.


  • JOCELYN WONG joined Jumpstart Automotive Media as west coast sales manager. Wong joins the company from IGN/Fox Interactive Media where she served as account executive.


  • The Chicago Advertising Federation has named its 2007 Board of Directors. SCOTT NESLUND, managing director at MindShare Chicago, will serve as president; ANN BROWN, director of creative administration at DraftFCB, will serve as executive vice president; MIKE PARENT, senior vice president and director of media services at Chicago Creative Partnership, will serve as secretary; IRA BECKER, advising consultant at Virchow, Krause and Company, will serve as treasurer; and MARLENA PELEO-LAZAR, chief creative officer and vice president at McDonald's Corporation, will fulfill her term as immediate past president.


  • Mullen has created a new Experience Planning discipline focused on consumer interaction with digital media. BARBARA FRIEDSAM has been named Mullen’s first user experience planner. She most recently served as associate director of information architecture in the agency’s interactive marketing group. 


  • Burst Media reorganized its Network Division outside sales team moving JOHN BABCOCK from account executive to eastern sales manager; KARIN GOSS to mid-western sales manager; and HEATHER WETZLER to western sales manager.


  • Mansueto Ventures, publisher of Inc. and Fast Company, has named ROBERT SAFIAN editor and managing director of Fast Company magazine. MARK VAMOS will move into the new post of editor-at-large for Mansueto Ventures where he will oversee in-depth journalistic projects for its magazines and online operations. Safian joins Mansueto Ventures from Fortune magazine, where he served as executive editor.


  • MICHAEL LEATHERS has been named creative director in the television division of Trailer Park. Leathers was most recently president and creative director of Launch Pad.


  • TM Advertising has hired TRINA UZEE as interactive associate creative director. Uzee replaces TODD CONNELLEY who was promoted to interactive creative director. Prior to TM, Uzee worked at imc² as creative director.


  • PETER BAVARO has been appointed executive director, sales and marketing at Post Logic Studios. Most recently, Bavaro worked at J. Walter Thompson as executive producer and director of operations for the agency's in-house broadcast production and new media division, JWTwo.


  • Deutsch LA promoted ADAM GRAVES and ERIN ROALSTAD to senior vice president, account directors from vice president, account directors. BRIDGETT SILVA was promoted to vice president, account director, iDeutsch, from account director.


  • LINDA TSE CORREIA has been appointed associate director of interactive marketing for AARP Publications.


  • Science + Fiction has named BRAD CURTIS as senior vice president for business development.


  • Oxygen has promoted MICHELLE NIVEN to senior vice president of affiliate ad sales, up from vice president.


  • REBEKAH SIMKUS was promoted to account director on the General Motors Corporate Retail business at McCann Erickson, working on national retail advertising for GM.


  • Efficient Frontier promoted MORGAN SIMONSON to eastern regional vice president and appointed IAN MARTIN as east coast regional sales manager.


  • Search Engine Optimization has promoted BRAD LIPSHULTZ, formerly vice president of sales, to chief operating officer. BRYAN LARKIN was named director of paid search marketing and BEN GERSTEIN was promoted to senior search marketing manager.


  • FEDERICO TRAEGER was named creative director of Lopez Negrete Communications.


  • VNU Business Media named ERIC MIKA senior vice president/managing director of the Film & Performing Arts and Music Groups. Mika will manage international sales, marketing and business development.


  • USA WEEKEND Magazine promoted LORI ALTMAN and ELYSE SALPETER to east coast advertising sales managers.


  • Fletcher Martin has hired ANNIE AL-TIMIMI as director of project management to design a new system for managing all creative projects from initial conception to final delivery. Al-Timimi joins Fletcher Martin from STEELE+ where she was director of creative services.


  • JOSEPH Q. BRETZ was named president of interactive media for Tap Water Entertainment.


  • Comcast Spotlight has hired ADRIENNE SKINNER as vice president of online strategic sales. Skinner previously served as the strategic account director for Yahoo! where her duties included building customized branding and customer acquisition solutions for clients including MasterCard and Bank of America.


  • Ethnic Print Media Group has named DANIELLE JAKE as media planner.


  • SFGT named JEFFREY SMITH as director, business strategies. He will lead SFGT’s strategic partnerships with all accounts, and also address new business opportunities.
