  • Euro RSCG Worldwide named ALAN BURGIS as chief executive officer of Euro RSCG San Francisco. Prior to re-joining the agency, Burgis was managing partner at Agency.com in San Francisco.


  • JAY ADAMS was named advertising director of Popular Science. Adams joins the magazine from FHM where he served as ad director.


  • Tremor Media named DAN SCHERER and ROB GROSSBERG vice president, publisher relations and vice president, business operations, respectively.


  • SARAH FAY, president of Isobar US, was elected to the board of directors at Email Data Source.


  • The Spark named ROBYN BAERMAN as executive producer, business meetings and events. Prior to joining The Spark, she was a creative project manager for Fleishman-Hillard Creative.


  • JOHN MARCOE joined Kelliher Samets Volk as creative services director. He will be charged with overseeing and managing all aspects of the creative process.


  • The VIA Group has hired JASON MCCURRY as an associate creative director. In his new role, McCurry will focus on VIA clients Monster and HP Hood.


  • Thomas Taber & Drazen named JAN BARNETT as senior vice president group account director.


  • JILL MANEE, publisher of Advertising Age, is retiring at the end of the month. Succeeding her is SCOTT DONATON, associate publisher of the trade. Prior to that, Donaton served as editor from October 1998 to April 2006.


  • Stardust Studios named COREY CIRILLO as executive producer and promoted AMY KAUFMAN LEVY to head of production.


  • Promax/BDA has appointed current vice chair LEE HUNT to the post of interim managing director of Promax/BDA and AEIM.


  • ANIL KAPOOR, regional president Draftfcb, and responsible for India, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and Malaysia, is expanding his responsibilities to include oversight of the entire Asia-Pacific region, with the exception of China, as well as Africa. MARK PACCHINI, president of global accounts, will continue to oversee Draftfcb operations in Greater China.


  • AMANDA BIRD, JANET CARLISLE and CHRIS FONTES were promoted to group account directors at PJA Advertising and Marketing.


  • FABIAN VILLEGAS was named media supervisor at ID Media.


  • LAURA DALY joined Images.com as head of artist’s relations. Daly began her career in media planning at Young and Rubicam and later moved to Wunderman, Ricotta & Kline to work with advertisers such as P&G; Chase; General Foods; Merrill Lynch and Time-Life on both image and direct response advertising.


  • MIKE LOMBARDI has been promoted from vice president of east coast and inside sales to vice president of national sales at WeatherBug. Lombardi will manage the day-to-day operations of the national advertising sales group.


  • Crisp Wireless named DEBRA BLUMAN as vice president of product marketing. Previously, Bluman was the vice president, marketing and ad sales for Zingy, where she led the company’s direct-to-consumer marketing initiatives.


  • MARIA WYSE was named eastern digital advertising manager for CarandDriver.com and RoadandTrack.com. She joins Hachette from WSJ.com where she served as an account executive.


  • TOM BANNON has been hired as director of sales for Newscom. Bannon previously was director of sales for national accounts at Getty Images.


  • Oxygen has hired JOHN ALVAREZ as director of affiliate sales and AMY WILLS as national account manager in the Dallas office. The network has also promoted AMIE HINDERLITER and AMY TAYLOR to directors of affiliate sales, up from senior account managers.


  • Cultivator Advertising & Design hired JEREMY PRUITT as senior graphic designer, working on the Red Robin Gourmet Burger and Anthony’s Pizza accounts. Previously Pruitt was senior art director at Ross Creative + Strategy, working on Caterpillar and Goodwill Industries, among others.


  • LES EISNER was named executive vice president of The Lippin Group. Eisner will be responsible for overseeing corporate communications and public relations campaigns for a various clients in the U.S. and abroad. Most recently, Eisner was vice president, media relations, of Twentieth Television.


  • SARA VALASEK joined Empower MediaMarketing, Cincinnati as client strategy director. Valasek joins the agency from Prometheus Media Services (formerly OMD), Chicago, where she was associate director of strategy.


  • Mullen named KEITH JOHNSTON as vice president, director of integrated production. He comes to Mullen from Concrete Pictures, where he was creative director and led broadcast production efforts for ABC Sports and Comcast. 


  • Alloy Media + Marketing hired RICK BERGER as vice president, general sales manager east. He will oversee Alloy Media + Marketing's east coast sales organization, providing nontraditional marketing programs to clients. Prior to joining Alloy, he served as president of Next Generation Radio.


  • BILL MOCLAIR joined The Gate Worldwide as account director on the agency's State Street Global Advisor business. Most recently, Moclair was the advertising manager at Canon U.S.A. on its Imaging System Group business.


  • Star Marketing hired RIYAD ABU-SHARR as chief financial officer. Most recently, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of MMG.


  • Grey San Francisco named KARI SEITZ and JON KAISER vice president and co-media directors.


  • Responsys named CHRIS PAUL as chief financial officer to manage the company’s growth in the on-demand marketing sector. Paul previously served as chief financial officer at Determine Software.


  • Campbell Mithun named DAWN YEMMA as vice president and associate creative director; GARRY VALONE as executive vice president and executive creative director; ROBERT CLIFTON as executive vice president and executive creative director; PETER WINECKE as associate creative director and ALEXANDER COLVIN as associate producer.


  • LUISA BELTER joined Telmar Group as general manager, western European division, a new position. Belter most recently served as managing director of MindShare South Africa.


  • The Africa Channel promoted SHIRLEY NEAL to the newly created position of executive vice president, programming and production. Neal has served as been vice president, production and development since 2005.
