  • MARTA WÖHRLE, vice president, director of digital media, was promoted to senior vice president, director of digital media at Hachette Filipacchi Media.


  • FAYE WALKER, former head of marketing for The Tennis Channel, has joined Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios as vice president, worldwide television marketing. Walker will oversee the marketing of all MGM television programming worldwide, including cable, syndication, ad sales, VOD initiatives and campaigns.


  • COURTENAY SMITH was promoted to executive editor at Prevention. In addition, MICHAEL SEGELL and KARYN REPINSKI were promoted to deputy editors, and TERESA DUMAIN was elevated to senior editor.


  • JASON THALER was elevated to general counsel at Primedia. He was previouslysenior vice president, deputy general counsel.


  • ELIZABETH TALERMAN was named vice president, senior director of marketing for the Merchandising division of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. Talerman joins MSLO from Talerman + Partners.


  • Firstborn promoted KEVIN ARTHUR to executive vice president and named ETHAN FARBER as director of business development.


  • MSnap named TIMOTHY FAVIA as president and CEO. MARTIN KRISTISETER, former CEO and founder of mSnap, will remain with the company as executive vice president.


  • SS+K promoted the creative team of SAM MAZUR and MATT FERRIN to vice president, associate creative directors from senior copywriter and senior art director respectively.


  • COLIN JEFFERY joined davidandgoliath as executive creative director and RUSSELL WAGER was named managing partner and group client director. Jeffery joins from Arnold Worldwide where he was vice president creative director and Wager recently served as executive vice president at Doner Advertising, directing the Mazda account.


  • VIA Group hired ABBIE SPEED as an account manager. Speed will work with such clients as the Maine Readiness Council, Silverstein Properties and CBS RADIO.


  • Ogilvy North America appointed ADAM LAU as creative director, partnering with GREG KAPLAN to work on IBM. He joins Ogilvy from AKQA in San Francisco, where he was a group creative director from 2000-2006 on accounts such as Nike, Palm, Microsoft, Sprite and Red Bull.


  • Kilgannon promoted DAVE CAPANO to executive vice president and RHONDA JAMESON to associate director of broadcast and promotions.


  • The Lippin Group named ROBERT KATZ as an account executive.


  • Carat Fusion named ANDREW HOEBERICHTS vice president, group account director and WENDY LEE as an associate account director.


  • Blue Ribbon Digital promoted GREG STOBB to account supervisor and KATIE SHIFFLER to account executive.


  • mun2 named LISA HACKETT as vice president of marketing. Hackett joined mun2 in March 2006 as a consultant charged with identifying and securing strategic marketing and branding opportunities for the network.


  • Hanger Network named GARY MIRKIN as director of sales and marketing and ALEX ELLWOOD was named account director, national sales.


  • BabyCenter named TINA SHARKEY as chairman. She will have oversight for all BabyCenter operations, including babycenter.com and BabyCenter international sites in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Germany, and Sweden.


  • Carat Fusion added JIN CHUNG as associate director, customer relationship management and KATHLEEN PETERSON as customer relationship marketing manager to its Boston staff.


  • ALVIN WILLIAMS was promoted to senior director, music industry development, from director of music industry development at Gospel Music Channel.


  • PETER NICHOLSON was named partner/chief creative officer of Deutsch New York. Nicholson most recently served as executive creative director at JWT New York.


  • Post Logic Studios hired BETH SIMON as managing director of the New York office. She joins Post Logic from Ascent Media where she served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for the media management division.


  • MICHAEL FASSNACHT was promoted to chief customer intelligence officer for Draftfcb. Fassnacht is currently executive vice president, director of customer intelligence in the agency’s Chicago office.


  • Active Athlete Media hired THELO AIKEN as director of business development. Most recently, Aiken was director of sales for NetTraction.com.


  • Superstation WGN elevated BYRON CHAPIN to account executive and DANA BERNARD to account service representative.


  • JOSEPH CAPOBIANCO joined the YES Network as an ad sales account executive. Capobianco most recently served as account executive at WPIX-TV in New York.


  • TOM STAEBLER, senior vice president and art director of Playboy magazine, is retiring after 39 years, 28 of those as art director. Succeeding him is ROB WILSON, the magazine's deputy art director.


  • Peppercom promoted ANN BARLOW to president of Peppercom’s west coast operations and MAGGIE O’NEILL to senior director of the New York office.


  • Charles River Interactive named PAUL WITHAM and AARON KATZ as search engine optimization project leads.


  • SEAN KEARNEY and JEN BROWN have been promoted to Midwest/west and east coast mobile sales managers respectively at the Weather Channel.


  • Campfire named JEREMIAH ROSEN to the newly created position of director of accounts. Rosen will manage Campfire's agency and direct-to-brand partnerships placing heavy focus on new business development and advanced brand integration strategies. Prior to joining Campfire, Rosen was director of strategic development at DCODE where he led expansion efforts for brands including ESPN and Modell's Sporting Goods.


  • ERIK SMITH was named vice president of content and programming at Metacafe. Smith most recently served as senior director for business development and programming at MobiTV where he was responsible for developing and implementing the programming strategy and business models for MobiTV products on both mobile and broadband platforms.


  • ANDY SCHOENGOLD was named director of graphics for all News Channel 12 stations in the tri-state area. He was previously lead designer for CNN's Nancy Grace.
