  • JC ADDISON, founder and president of NY-based production company, Defiant, will join Filter as its fourth partner. Addison joins founding partners CHRIS BRIGNOLA, JAY SHARFSTEIN and GRANT WAGNER, who have been running the shop since its 2005 inception.


  • ATSUSHI MIYASAKA has been named vice president, sales liaison Japan for NBC Universal International Television Distribution. Miyasaka will be responsible for overseeing the free, pay and basic cable television sales of NBC Universal programming throughout Japan. Miyasaka joins NBC Universal from Walt Disney TV International in Japan, where he was vice president and deputy managing director responsible for the licensing and distribution of Disney product, including video-on-demand, as well as Disney’s channels business in the region.


  • STEVE SMITH was named senior vice president of Wiley Europe, succeeding DR. JOHN JARVIS, who is retiring.


  • Marie Claire named JENNIFER BARNETT editor-at-large and LAUREN IANNOTTI as articles editor. Barnett was executive editor-in-chief of Harper's Bazaar from 2001-2005. Iannotti joins from O, The Oprah Magazine, where she had been senior editor since 2004.


  • Luminosity Marketing named TED GRUSSING as media director. Most recently, Grussing was associate media director at Merkley and Partners on the Mercedes-Benz account.


  • GREGORY C. HANCOCK has been named Los Angeles sales manager for PARADE. Hancock joins the magazine from Wenner Media, where he spent nearly seven years as Los Angeles advertising director for Rolling Stone.


  • MGH named MELISSA GREENBERG as senior media planner/buyer; MELANIE WELSH as online media buyer and planner; and LAURIE COLLINS as media assistant.


  • CINDY MATA was promoted to director, business development/eastern sales at Billboard, up from east coast advertising director.


  • SUSAN BASKETT and JASON B. HAYES have been named senior vice presidents and TATIANA HENIGES, MARY MACHERZAK and IVAN PROVALOV have been named vice presidents at Campbell-Ewald.


  • Beliefnet.com named former WebMD marketing director TARA MCCAFFREY as general manager for newsletters.


  • BRAD WESTERMANN, formerly with Court TV, joined TV Guide Channel as vice president, western regional sales. Additionally, TV Guide promoted ADAM NASH to vice president, eastern regional sales and ERIC JOHNSON to director of TV Guide Channel’s Chicago sales office. TV Guide Television also hired MEGAN GORMLEY as manager of its Detroit sales office.


  • CXO Media promoted BRIAN GLYNN to vice president of online sales. Glynn joined CXO Media in September as director of east coast sales for CIO.


  • Post Logic launched a DVD division based out of its Hollywood facility. Heading the division are MICHAEL VISLAR as director of DVD operations; MIKE DEFUSCO as director of DVD production; and PERRY MARTIN as director of creative services.


  • PAGE GAYLORD was promoted to vice president and media director at Laird Christianson Advertising.


  • Eric Mower and Associates promoted AMBER J. MARKOW to senior account executive and CARRI A. GREGORSKI to senior account executive.


  • The Bravo Group named STACY PAGÁN as director, retail marketing and promotions. Pagán will head up Bravo's marketing and promotions division where she will be responsible for building teams, developing strategies and implementing programs.


  • PETER WINKLER, formerly global marketing directorin PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Entertainment & Media Advisory Practice, has been appointed senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Teletrax.


  • Deutsch NY promoted LAUREN FRAZZA to executive vice president, group account director. She currently works on the Johnson & Johnson account, including Tylenol. COURTNEY BURKE was elevated to senior vice president, director of national buying. She was most recently vice president, associate director, National Broadcast Group and oversees the Network Buying group, working on DIRECTV, T.G.I. Friday’s, HELIO and Monster. GEORGE DECKER was named senior vice president, group creative director,upfrom vice president, group creative director. He works on the IKEA and Imodium accounts. KAREN DELUCA was promoted to senior vice president, group media director, from vice president, associate media director. She works on DIRECTV, Sports Authority and Aegon accounts. SETH FRIEDMAN was named senior vice president, senior account planner, upfrom vice president, senior account planner. He works on the Westin, Sheraton and Novartis accounts. Lastly, KARIN PRIOR was promoted to senior vice president, group media director, up from vice president, associate media director.


  • MICHAEL BREITNER has been promoted to western sales director, a new position within the corporate sales & marketing group at American Express Publishing Corporation. JENNIFER SOMMER will replace Breitner as Los Angeles sales director at American Express Publishing's Food & Wine.


  • Draftfcb launched an agency in Argentina to be led by PABLO PONCINI as president, SANTIAGO OLIVERA as vice president, ALVARO FERNÁNDEZ MENDY as director of integrated communications, CLAUDIO SORDÓ as director of marketing services and GUILLERMO CASTAÑEDA and JUAN CRUZ BAZTERRICA as general creative directors.


  • BRUNO CORBO joins dentsuAmerica as creative director/copywriter on all accounts, a new position. Corbo most recently was a senior copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather, New York, where he worked on the Kodak, DHL, Van Kampen, Yahoo and Lenovo accounts.


  • SIVOO named ROBERT "BOB" SALTZMAN as executive vice president, corporate development and marketing. Saltzman will work closely with SIVOO's partners to manage the company's ad-supported video on-demand model. In addition, he will aid the overall growth of the SIVOO Internet TV Network.


  • Renegade Marketing Group added RACHEL GARFIELD as digital media supervisor; GORDON PEPPER as web developer; JUSTIN FEINSTEIN as copywriter and WHITNEY HOWELL as online account coordinator.


  • NELSON FREITAS joins Jack Morton Worldwide as svp, director of strategy and planning. Freitas, formerly senior partner and worldwide group planning director at Ogilvy & Mather in New York, will advise clients on building the right portfolio of brand experience touchpoints to engage and connect with their customers.


  • RYAN DONOVAN has joined VERSUS as vice president of marketing. Donovan joins the network from Shepardson, Stern + Kaminsky, where as vice president of marketing, he served as marketing and branding consultant to Anheuser-Busch, Bright House Networks, Citibank, Lance Armstrong Foundation and Time Warner Cable.


  • Cannella Response Television promoted GUY THEUNE to executive vice president. He will retain his chief financial officer and chief operating officer titles. PEGGY GOBEL was promoted to vice president, director of cable media, up from director of national cable.


  • Chandelier named SUSAN TOWERS as managing director of the creative firm. Towers was most recently vice president of global communications for Kiehl’s Since 1851, where she oversaw the company’s U.S. and international communications strategy, worked on launches of new products and developed partnerships.


  • PETER THOMPSON was promoted to CEO for G2 in Europe, Middle East and Africa.


  • WENDY GOODMAN has been named design director for House & Garden. She joins House & Garden from New York magazine where she has been the interior design editor for the last ten years.


  • RYAN CRAIG was named director of research and regional sales representative at program partners. Craig joins from CBS station KSTW-TV 11 in Seattle, where he was director of programming.


  • BooneOakley, Charlotte, hired CRAIG JELNIKER as head of broadcast production, a new position, handling all accounts. Previously, Jelniker was senior producer/vice president at Element 79, Chicago, where he worked on Gatorade and Propel.


  • ML Rogers, New York, named AMY ADAMS as account director. Previously, Adams was management supervisor at Ogilvy & Mather, New York, on Kraft’s Tassimo brand coffee brewer.


  • M&C Saatchi named HUW GRIFFITH as chief executive officer, North America. Griffith has served as CEO of M&C Saatchi Los Angeles since 2003. He now assumes leadership of M&C Saatchi’s New York agency as well.


  • JACQUELINE SHARDO joined Empower MediaMarketing, Cincinnati, as digital strategist. Shardo joins Empower from WhittmanHart in Cincinnati, where she was an account supervisor involved in the planning and execution of interactive marketing programs for Tide Laundry Detergent.


  • Spectrum Productions named JIM RAPSAS senior vice president of development & production. He joins the company after spending the past decade at Discovery Communications, where he served most recently as vice president of development and production for Discovery Kids.
