  • Guideposts appointed RICHARD V. HOPPLE its president and CEO. Prior to joining Guideposts, he was the chairman, chief executive officer and co-founder of Unicast. He succeeds JOHN TEMPLE, who is retiring.


  • SUZANNE GROSSMAN joined Smithsonian Magazine as an account manager.


  • MARGARET TOBEY was named vice president, regulatory affairs for NBC Universal. Most recently, Tobey was a senior partner in the Washington office of Morrison & Foerster, LLP, where she specialized in federal communications regulatory matters and served as outside counsel for NBC Universal for eight years.


  • ManiaTV.com named JEANNIE ABRAHAM as sales director, western region.


  • MAT ZUCKER was named executive creative director for the New York office of Agency.com. He joins Agency.com from R/GA, where he was executive creative director working for clients including Johnson & Johnson and Subaru of America.


  • Universal McCann named JATINDER SINGH as the global director of measurement and analytics, a new leadership position. Singh was previously senior vice president, group director, strategic services for Wunderman New York.


  • Boelter + Lincoln named JILL BRZESKI chief executive officer, as JOHN LINCOLN retires after 32 years with the company. Brzeski retains her role as president, which she assumed in 2004. She joined the agency in 1985.


  • Carat Fusion named PAULA ROBERT as associate director, enabling technologies. Most recently, Robert worked at Digitas / Modem Media, most recently as manager of technology enablement. In addition, PETER ROBINSON was named program director for the agency’s Customer Relationship Management practice. Prior to joining Carat Fusion, Robinson worked for e-Dialog as an account director in the Professional Services organization.


  • GM Planworks hired DR. MICHAEL VINSON as SVP/managing director, digital insights and analytics. He will lead the development of digital and emerging media research efforts for GM and spearhead advancements in the area of digital audience measurement across the Starcom MediaVest Group network. Previously, Vinson was the chief research scientist at erinMedia, a television audience analysis company.


  • JOE GALLAGHER joined Dow Jones Online as national sales director. Gallagher joins the company from Tribune Interactive, where he was national sales director for the Eastern and Central US. In addition, REGGIE RILEY was promoted to Midwest sales manager and MIKE RENFRO was promoted to southwest sales manager.


  • Madison Square Garden named CHRIS DELAURO as vice president of operations and engineering for MSG Media. DeLauro will be charged with managing the technical operations, engineering personnel and facilities of MSG, FSN New York and the MSG radio networks. Previously, DeLauro was vice president, account services for NEP Supershooters where he was responsible for the ABC Sports and SportNetNY (Mets) accounts.


  • DANIEL JAYE, the former co-founder and chief technology officer of Engage, joined TACODA as executive vice president, product management & development.


  • WhitePages.com hired MEG GARRETT as account executive in its East Coast sales office.


  • TV Guide Channel named MEGAN COSTELLO as vice president of research. Costello, who most recently served as vice president of research for CBS Television Distribution, will oversee all of TV Guide Channel’s research initiatives, which include primary research, ratings and market analyses, as well as viewer testing for the network’s programming.


  • ID Media Los Angeles hired ANGELA CREGO as vice president, account director. She will oversee the Brink's Home Security account.


  • Denuo promoted DAN BUCZACZER to senior vice president. Buczaczer currently manages Denuo's word-of-mouth marketing discipline.


  • Access 360 Media named TAYLOR BUYOUT as director of interactive media. Buyout will manage the creation and implementation of all interactive and mobile initiatives for Access 360 Media's retail and ad partner programs. Most recently, Buyout was technical director of Fidelity Assets.


  • Meyer & Wallis hired TOM ASCHAUER as associate creative director and CHRIS BISHOP as a senior art director.


  • Titan Worldwide promoted JAMIE LOWE to senior vice president and New York general manager.


  • Cramer-Krasselt hired JEFF ERICKSEN as creative director on the Ski-Doo, Rotozip, Dremel and Corningware teams. In addition, CURTIS SMITH was promoted to vice president/creative director; SUE MARTIN was promoted to senior vice president /media director; SUSAN STEARNS was promoted to senior vice president/management supervisor; and KELLI RATHKE was promoted to vice president/group media director.


  • Universal McCann hired ADRIAN TOY as regional interactive director for Asia Pacific in an effort to increase its digital-media capabilities. Toy will work on digital communications for technology clients such as Intel and Microsoft. Toy will be based in Hong Kong and previously served as regional head of interactive marketing for Johnson & Johnson Vision Care in Asia Pacific.


  • TM Advertising hired APRIL WEEKS as director of digital media. Prior to TM, Weeks was a media account director at Agency.com where she managed media efforts for clients such as 3M, Fisher-Price, Hilton Hotels, MasterFoods and TAP Pharmaceuticals.


  • Entity FX promoted TRICIA PIFER to head of production. She joined the company in 2004.


  • Horizon Interactive hired KRISTEN KELLY as account management supervisor; JIM PASQUALONE as senior search marketing manager; CAROL SONG as search marketing coordinator; WILL RESTREPO as campaign management supervisor; JOHN POOR and JENNA BEATTY as media planners; NALENE JONES as an email deployment manager; and BLAKE EISLER as account manager.


  • JUDI JORDAN, former editor-at-large for Latin Style Magazine, was named editor of RealTalk LA and Realtalkla.com. SRIDHAR RAO was named president of digital.


  • Energy BBDO hired GREG BRAUN as senior vice president, group creative director and JASON STANFIELD as creative director. Braun joins from Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles where he was a creative director and Stanfield comes from DDB Seattle where he was associate creative director.


  • Major League Gaming named TODD UNGER as evp and general manager, digital; PETER COSCO as evp, global sales and partnerships; and JOHN LANE as svp, global sales and partnerships.


  • Meredith Corporation named WENDI SANDERS BERGER as publisher of Fitness magazine. She replaces LAUREN BUERGER, who left the company. Berger most recently served as publisher of Child magazine.


  • LION New Media named JOSH JACOBSEN as account manager. Most recently, Jacobsen worked for Stevenson Advertising as an assistant account executive.


  • JIRI MUSELIK joined [x+1] as vice president, engineering. He joins the company from Consumer Reports where he served as director of web applications since 2004.


  • BRIAN MARR was named managing director of Wexley School for Girls. He previously served as group marketing manager of Microsoft's Windows Vista “Buzz” team.


  • Crown Media Holdings elected FRED M. DRESSLER, Time Warner Cable’s former executive vice president of programming, to its Board of Directors.


  • MATT SEILER was named president and CEO of PHD North America. He joined the agency in September 2004 as President, PHD U.S. He replaces STEVE GRUBBS, who was named CEO of Fuse Sports and Entertainment Group North America.


  • CLAY LANGDON was named director of The Business Planning Group, an affiliate company of McGarrah – Jessee.


  • Blattner Brunner named REED CARLSON contact strategist on all accounts. The new position will combine the roles of media director, with directors of online, public relations, direct, and non-traditional communications. Previously Carlson was associate media director at Fitzgerald + Co.


  • Hunt Adkins named ADINA DAHLIN as chief interactive officer, a new position. Previously, Dahlin was account director at RMG Connect, Minneapolis.


  • Irwin Slater hired NEDA NAMIRANIAN as executive director of client services. Previously, Namiranian was director of program management at branding consultancy Interbrand.


  • CHRISTINE J. PETRILLO was named vice president corporate sales director of Hachette Filipacchi Media. Previously, Petrillo was associate publisher of Premiere magazine.


  • LookSmart hired ARI KAUFMAN as vice president of publisher services and JONATHAN EWERT as the east coast vice president of advertising and publisher services.
