  • Digitas promoted CHRIS ENGLAND, BEN JONES, MICHAEL KARG, AMY MCALLISTER, JOHN ROBINSON, ELLIOTT SEABORN and DAVID WIGDER to senior vice presidents of the agency.

  • RICH MUHLSTOCK, client service director, TAXI New York, is moving into a newly created role at the agency. He now serves as general manager at TAXI Content, a service launched in August for TAXI clients in Canada and the U.S.


  • Horizon Media New York promoted HOLLY SOKOLOFF to brand planning director for The History Channel and A&E accounts; LIZZIE BLADES to account supervisor; ANKIT BAJAJ to media planning supervisor; and JENNIFER DILL to junior account executive.


  • DAVID LANG was named president of MindShare Entertainment. In addition, MindShare senior partner and strategic planning director STEVEN PILUSO is joining Lang's team in as director of content strategy. MindShare Entertainment producer GREGORY MANAGO was promoted to supervising producer. Lastly, freelancer producer LINDSAY GRAVIN is joining the company as a producer.


  • GE Commercial Finance elevated managing director THOMAS W. REGAN to serve as group head of sponsor coverage for its media, communications & entertainment business. Regan most recently ran the GE unit's large-cap media origination team and has closed financings for Raycom Media, Community Newspaper Holdings and Thomas Nelson.


  • JENNIFER SUAREZ was named senior vice president, workforce development for CBS Corporation. Suarez will oversee all executive level search and development functions across the company's various divisions.


  • Cut+Run/London hired JAMES ROSE as editor.


  • Cenergy Communications named ROBYN RECOON as director of account services, a new position. Previously, Recoon was director of client services at Stand Advertising.


  • Wunderman New York hired BEN ELGART as information architect and will be responsible for usability and user experience. Most recently, he worked at John B. Pierce Laboratory as a research assistant.

  • JANE ROOT, president and general manager of Discovery Channel and The Science Channel, is leaving the company and will be replaced by JOHN FORD.


  • StrawberryFrog Amsterdam hired RICHARD GORODECKY as executive creative director. Gorodecky replaces MARK CHALMERS who left the agency in April. Most recently, Gorodecky spent eight years at Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam working on Nike, Heineken, Coca-Cola, Audi, UPC, EA Games, Lego, Wyborowa Wodka and Gore-Tex accounts.


  • DEBRA J. MENIN was promoted to vice president/ branded entertainment for PARADE.


  • Javelin Direct named JOEL SOBELSON as group creative director, charged with leading the Creative Department in New York.


  • BRIAN SILVER joined Travel Ad Network as chief operating officer, a newly created position. He joins the company from NetCash, where he served as chief operating officer.


  • Reactrix Systems named JIM BELL as senior vice president, sales development and operations. He joins the company from Insight and Solutions, Inc. where he most recently served as president and CEO.


  • BBDO West named JON SOTO as executive creative director of the agency's San Francisco office. He joins the agency from Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco where he served as executive creative director.

  • Fallon promoted JOHN KING to the newly created position of director of brand innovation; AMY SHEIL to director of media; and ADAM CHORNEY to director of connection planning.


  • Deutsch Los Angeles promoted VICTORIA GUENIER to vice president, executive producer, up from senior producer.

  • Captivate Network hired ALEXANDRA MUNSTER as director of new business development in Los Angeles.


  • Ensequence named JULI BLACK director of business development.


  • mcgarrybowen hired JULIE LEVIN as account managing director to handle the agency's Kraft business. Levin was most recently at BBDO where she was svp, senior account director on the Venus/Gillette Proctor & Gamble account.


  • JAYME CANGELOSI was promoted to national broadcast buyer, up from assistant media buyer, at RJ Palmer.


  • DEBORAH KENNEY joined KD&E as a media buyer. She was formerly a junior buyer at Tangible Media.

  • Forty Forty named MYRNA NEWCOMB as senior designer.


  • TOM CUNNINGHAM joined Allen & Gerritsen as vice president of business development.


  • The Maxim Agency added PAMELA HAWTHORNE as managing partner.


  • CRAIG PHILLIPS joined Undertone Networks as the director of media operations after six years at Microsoft Corporation.


  • Fortune|Money Group named MARY GALLATIN, SUSIE BIDEL, and YODIT TEKLEMARIAM as marketing directors for FORTUNE, MONEY, and FSB: FORTUNE Small Business, respectively.


  • The Media Kitchen promoted CHARLES PINKERTON to the new position of partner, director of communications insights. In addition to his new duties, he will continue to oversee the Delta account. DARREN HERMAN joined the agency as group director of digital media. In this role, he will lead all digital media efforts and oversee digital media for Media Kitchen clients, such as Panasonic, PBS, Oxygen and Windstream. Prior to The Media Kitchen, Herman worked at IGA Worldwide, a company he co-founded in 2004.


  • Euro RSCG Worldwide, New York hired ANGELIQUE MORENO as creative manager. She will be responsible for the overall management of the creative department, including talent recruitment and development, execution of projects and awards submissions.


  • LARRY GELFAND was named senior vice president, media sales for the NHL. Most recently vice president of digital sales for VH1 at MTV Networks, he will lead the NHL's media sales efforts in the United States.


  • CinemaNow named ASHLEY WOODWORTH as senior vice president of marketing. Woodworth will oversee the company's marketing initiatives across multiple platforms.


  • LAUREN SUKLOFF, media planner from Initiative in the Atlanta office, was promoted to media supervisor and is transferring to Initiative New York to work on the Trane brand.


  • Rockett Interactive hired DINA HOLLAND as associate media director. Most recently, Holland was manger of print and emerging technologies for John Deere. Rockett also hired EMILY SHEPHERD as assistant media planner. Shepherd joins the agency from Media Placement Group.
